¡Hola buenas tardes! E15 code appeared this Christmas Day Morning, after water ran down and into the machine, into the sump and, triggered the unit. Your video, found purely as first on RUclips search for code E15 on my dishwasher. Proves there is method in my RUclips search madness. You've saved the day and, a few euros, I'm certain. I've subbed to the channel and will look through a few bits and pieces in due course. Stay safe and well. Un saludo. Gary

Nagyon köszi! A gyerek vizet öntött a mosógatógép tetejére, nem kicsit, amit gép hátulján lefolyt, és az alján levő úszót a kábeles részen emelte, kiszedve, szivaccsal a vizet kitörölve, újra működik rendesen!

Mate I just wanna say thank you. Just moved house and and shunters I used for the removals dropped my dishwasher. When I plumbed it in the E15 code came up. Anyhoo whilst the dishwasher wasn’t flooded and totally dry, the polystyrene disc seemed to be pushing into the switch. I just trimmed 2mm of it and it’s working brill. Wouldn’t have figured it out without your vid.

Great vid. Thanks from Canada. I just fixed an E 23 a few days ago, so when E15 popped up just now. Ugh. I love Bosch but this is my second one at this house. First one did not last very long, big leak in a faulty inlet control ruined just finished basement ceiling. Anyway, I am hoping it was the standing water, and jiggling that fixed the E23 that caused the small amount of water in the base that caused the E15. Dried it all up, blew a fan for a bit, then replaced styro float and now fingers crossed. I did a rinse cycle just now, and no visible drips. Doing a full wash cycle curently. Thanks again.

Thanks for this clear video. It helped me get rid of the E15 error the proper way (after a few additional hours searching for root cause). I like how you keep the camera running e.g. while unscrewing, allowing the viewer pick up on details that you might not mention explicitly. Two coffees coming your way.

Was reluctant after already contacting service for Monday. Figuring I had the whole weekend to tinker, I would attempt. Easy as could imagine, followed step by step. Just as depicted, water in the reservoir which I cleaned up with paper towels. No other leaks detected. My wife keeps opening door to put a few things after cycle is full on. Seems that could be the cause of small amounts of water over 11 years accumulating. Bottom line…no more codes and proper function restored. Canceling service appointment in the morning. Thank you, thank you!!

Thanks for an informative video. I did what you did then ran it with covers off and found a small trickle of water from door seal leaking into the front drip tray which feeds into the lower reservoir where the floats sits. Now to find a door seal as the local service company are useless. PS, Just saw the coffee donation you have, great idea. Enjoy one on me 👍

@@Sawickipedia have you seen leakage along right side of washer, where stainless meets plastic base. Upon removing side panel i found the base has bowed outwards, causing the seal to leak water over electric control panel. Will try to dry it out and seal with silastic inside and out (maybe a couple of screws might help). Will take photos before and after.

Thank you so much for your great video. There was a little water accumulation around the styrofoam disk. I couldn’t figure out how to get the part out and I was afraid I’d break it so I used a towel. I ran an express cycle and hooray it worked. The big problem I had was reassembling the door because the 2 plastic clips fell out so I had no idea where they came from. It took me a long time but I finally figured it out. I hope I can reassemble the door panel without too much trouble 🤞

Very helpful video, thank you. Bosch 500 has a bunch of wires connected to the outer panel. It was awkward but I was able to remove the lower panel and dry the float without removing these wires.
Also the Bosch 500 had about a dozen t20 torx screws holding the panel on. I didn't realize until the end that there were two different lengths. I guessed that the longer ones were at the top of the panel and so far so good.

Thanks for the "TIP". I pulled apart my washer because of an error 25. Removed the side valve panel and cleaned out the big plastic tubing, but as i removed the panel i flooded the lower area of the machine. I believed i had cleaned it enough, but i got an error E15 when i plugged it in. After seeing your vid, i decided to lay the machine on its side, a flood poured out of it. I plugged it back in and "voilà," :) Happy days, my machine should have a couple more years in it.. Cheers

This worked like a charm. Thank you so much! Excellent description. Step by step, very clearly laid out. The only difference is that we have a newer model Bosch that had wires connected to the outside panel, so I would advise caution when pulling the panel away just in case. Those needed to be carefully disconnected. Also, we couldn’t run a test cycle until the panel was reinstalled. Other than that the directions were spot on. Just saved us hundreds of dollars!!

Nice to have such clear footage.
In my case the leakage came from the dish salt bowl.
It was leaking past it's neck.
Solved it by applying ship's windows glue.
You just have to remove a large plastic swivel which you can see after taking off the filler cap.
Then tuck in some glue all around the neck.
Put the swivel back on and leave it to dry a while.

Thanks for the video! Managed to clear the water from the trough, and we're good to go.
I had this problem come up after running a washing cycle with too much detergent. I read somewhere that using too much detergent can create more suds that the machine can handle, and that will end up leaking through to places where they shouldn't. So make sure you read detergent/soap packaging, and put in the right amounts.

Thank you very much for the great video! I had E15 error after I deep cleaned my 10 year old Siemens. I guess that dirt went between the pump and the body when I removed the plastic grid to get rid of the dirt under that. However there were dry leaking signs (grease and soap) also that seems that machine had leaked over the years. The water there was yellow and stinky too.
I loosen those two screws from the pump unit to get gap between body and the pump. Then I used toothbrush and vacuum cleaner to get dirt out of the seal surface. Then I dried everything carefully and put everything back together. After that I ran the machine normally and checked once more if there were leaks. Dry and clean after that!

Very helpful instructions. I was nervous about removing the front panel because my handle and top look slightly different; and it wasn't obvious what woujld happen if I removed those screws. (Although the six screws are there just as you showed.) Honestly, it was very easy to simply pull the dishwasher out from its enclosure and see everything from the exposed side of the unit. I could see all of the hoses and wires you showed in the video. And, it was not much trouble to remove that styrofoam disk, dry out the area and put it all back together again. I have no idea if that water built up over two years or two days. But the unit is running as I type this.... thanks again.

Great explanation. Though you mentioned tilting is a temporary fix. Actually in my case it was permanent one. While cleaning the body of the dishwasher, water accidently seeped into it and gave E-15 error code on my Siemens dishwasher.Hence by tilting the dishwasher sideways, clogged water spilled out,it started to work again.

Thanks mate. The “Made in Germany” model is a little different but if you own a free standing model without the kick board you will need to tilt the machine back about 45º to effectively get the lower panel off. The height adjustable feet may prevent the lower panel coming off. I unscrewed the feet and the panel was more easily removed. I dried and cleaned the water sensor polystyrene disc and tray but still get the E15 error code. I think the inlet valve might be the next item to look at as water immediately filled the float valve tray when the water tap was turned back on (judging by how the pump kicked in immediately upon restoring power).

Great Instructions thank you for the video. Just one point in some dishwashers (Bosch Canada) the styrofoam disc may have a larger center boss on it. Which doesn't show on your video. However people have to remember the flat part of the disc goes down to the reservoir cup. Switch sits on the large boss. It all fits greatly. Great instructions Matey (Not sure if Canadians like to just complicate things) Cheers :-)

I watched a video from someone else, he must have pre-loosened the switch or something before he recorded himself removing it because he just lifted it out of place with no effort at all, mine was sitting on very hard so I was afraid I didn't understand exactly how to remove it and was afraid I'd break it.
Your video showed me that it does sit on there pretty darn good so I knew it was just a case of using force to pop it off.
Dunno why this other guys switch seemingly wasn't fastened on at all.

Useful video. In my case the water leak was coming from the o'ring between the heat exchanger and the tub. Easy to access by removing the left side cover (2 torx only) and the exchanger (2 torx and both plastic parts in the tub with 10mm allen key). Replace the O'ring and install with silicon grease. Defect cleared. Part N° : Bosch cover 00611314

thank you so much man, I had mice who came in and ate the polystyrene disk, that's why my machine was in security mode all that time.
Well filmed and well explained, you saved me a new machine ^^

Thanks for taking the time to make and post this very clear and helpful video. It's worth noting that how you have to remove the plastic piece housing that switch above the styrofoam disc may vary from one model to another. Mine attaches in such a way that it needs to be pulled straight up, rather than twisted. (I've learned to be very cautious with these things, as they often depend on fragile tabs that can break off if you turn them the wrong way.)
