    HI,you did a very good video.Thank you for showing how to fix an old atx supply.Many times today people just throw these away and spend good money on new one ,But for a 25 cent part and some knowledge you can made a computer work again for along time.Great video my friend.

      I have atx power supply that has similar characteristics and was not powering on at all but was unable to further diagnose now I have to try this

    Hi Haseeb, i am thankful with your channel and i learned a lot from your teaching. i have a question from regarding the power supply of a MFP copier , i'm searching in social media who is repairing the LVPS but i could not find. i can repair in primary section but when it comes to secondary i could not get an actual value that suppose to be their is +&-5V, +&-12V, +&-24V. i am not sure if need to trigger first the heater section of the copier then will activate the other parts which supplied by 5, 12 & 24V. like in PSU of computer you just need to shorted the green and black wire in order to run the LVPS. please if you could share to us how to repair. Thank you very much.

    Excellent. Sir mere paas 2 computer power supply he donoo k 12 volt nahi aa rahe. jab Optocoupler ko short kare to yellow cable per 9 volt aa rahe he. is tarah 5 aur 3 voltages b kam aa rahe he. Is me kia masla ho sakta he.

      it depends on power rating of the unit under test
      normally 60 - 100 watt lamp is sufficient

    hello, s.a. I've been following your videos for along time, they are educational. I'm interested for 6 months with electonic. I've repaired too much electronic device. Sometimes success, sometimes failure. I've two question about power supply.
    1-) How can you explain one time glowing at series lamp at connection psu ? The current must flow constantly, but for test purpose 1 time glows and current stops. How ?
    -
    2) When i've connected series lamp to PSU and give energy, the bulb glow 1 time and current stops. But, when i made shortcircuit with green and black, PSU works, fan work, all voltages are good. But series lamp flickering(blinking). I've checked all components visually inspect and checked multimeter, i couldn't find. I can't comment, I think i'm not experienced yet.

    I have an old ATX power supply Antec NeoHe430. All the power rails are present and correct with no load attached. If i plug a IDE drive in to give it a load then the 5volt is only 3.6v. The other rails are still correct. I took the 5v rectifier diode out and measured it and is good. So do you have an idea what could be going on? Do you know where can i get a schematic for this power supply? Do you have a video with this kind of problem?

      Inspect the capacitors near the 5v line and around its generation. By eye to start, to see if there is any leaking or bulging. For sure if either of those seen, they need to be replaced. It is very possible for one of more to be bad even while looking perfect to the eye, so you'd have to test. But if you're lucky enough, you can see the problem straight away. There is a chance of it. Failing that, you might check for the values of resistors near it too, to be correct within tolerance.

Sir Conon MF244dw Printer Power Supply DC Section 0.1Ohms 2Resistors was burned Sir and New Power FET K4005 was Replaced Sir and 2 Resistor Replaced with 1Ohms, 10 Ohms, 22 Ohms Resistors but again and again Burned Sir. and Series Lamp was a very Lettle Glowing Sir and Resistors Burned Sir. Where the Problem Sir. Very Hardly Searching Sir but not Solved Sir. Please Advise Sir. waiting for Ur Message Sir. --- Chinna Rao, Paderu, Visakhapatnam Dist, Andhra Pradesh.

    Greetings to you aTx contains tl494 Vcc voltage starts at 17 volts and goes up to 19 volts is this normal I changed the tl494 gas capacitor and the voltage didn't change What's the reason

    Sir, I am facing the same fault in hipro d3057f3h psu, how can i find the location of two transistors along-with that frequency diode??? Hence I found also two transistor (29074) with near a diode 6510. After that, viper 22A then a diode again 6510. Sir, was it the location of malfunction??? I will pull out these components from circuit for testing after your recommendations.

    sir my atx powersupply somrtime work sometime nothing ....
    i have checked vcc of pwm ic (uc3842) no volatge but when it work it has 20-25 volt on Vcc
    cant get what is the problem can you tell some steps to check .
    300 volt reaching at c5027s trasnister .
    i think problem must be in vcc of pwm ic uc3842 .
