Personally, I don’t find anything even remotely boring watching Jett win. The guy is phenomenal. I wish he would win every race he enters from now until the day he retires! Nothing boring about watching a skill like that on display!

well, Cooksey, this is what you get when you want the sport to get into the big time. Back in the 90s the network used to have communication with the drivers. something like three laps to go before the end of the race they were in a yellow condition, and the reporter was trying to talk to the driver before the restart. He told him please I am trying to concentrate on this restart to try and win the race will you please leave me alone.

Jett reminds me of another former top pro; Michigan's own Jeff Staton. A tall athletic, natural talent. They both looked so smooth and fast on a bike.
The difference is that Stanton didn't have an abundance of raw talent and had to roll up his sleeves and earn it the old-fashioned way, just like Mike Kiedrowski. Those guys hit the gym and riding that bicycle for hours a day every day. These kids don't train for real anymore. They kinda fart around with it, but they don't hit the gym and bicycle like they should.
@@stkyfngrszmooth I call bs on that. Rc was to first to seriously improvise fitness and now everyone does that. All their coaches come from fitness sports such as cycling instead of moto. Also the numbers these guys put up on stats such as average mile times is crazy

I think you have Stanton confused JMB. Stanton was down on a little talent, (not speed), but a work horse. Stanton was probably the hardest worker,--and it paid off for 6 championships.
@@stkyfngrszmooth JMB (1991 worlds best) and Ron Lechien did not hit the gyms or bikes. They rode until they got tired, and figure out how to ride and not get tired. They both put in riding time, pretty much exclusively. But Ron even cut back on his riding as a later pro, so he was hit and miss for a lot of his finishes.
Get in as good of shape as you can. If your are not riding well,--it does not matter much. Robb Beams will not make anybody faster. :)

I hate those interviews too. I was a D1 wrestler at one point in my life and I raced mx several years afterwards. I can't imagine having to break my concentration to answer some stupid ass question, minutes before my performance, that the audience already knows the answer to anyway.

I was in the cycling industry when Lance was winning everything. They all cheated,---every one of them. You don't understand this, because we don't understand how the world is working, but lance was an exceptional individual from the USA, and USA individualism is under attack politically. They tear down great individuals to make an example out of them so we think they were not so great,---and look up to Dean Wilson instead. They all cheated. Lance was singled out, have no idea how they proved it years later, and took all 7 of his Tour titles. Cooskey is pretty trash. He does break a good story now and then, but he is more mixed up in the head than Chase Sexton.

These Laurence kids grew up in my neck of the woods and the terrain we ride is challenging and under extreme humidity in summer giving you a skill set others don’t achieve. It makes you a tough rider and gives you great endurance. So think about it before you drop bs headings in your post.

Jett is definitely not a Lance Armstrong. Armstrong blackmailed and threatened everyone around him while he was doping and tried to justify it. Jett is a champion and the new greatest of all time in the making. I have said this before and have been ridiculed for it, but I believe that Jett will surpass Ricky Carmichael's and Jeremy McGrath's win records.
I remember back in the 1980's, everyone said that Bob Hannah's 27 supercross win record would not be broken, then came Ricky Johnson. I remember when Jeremy McGrath came along and smashed that win record and won 72 races. I remember when everyone said that Ricky Carmichael was too small and would not win much. Now look at the record books.
I remember RC getting his first perfect season, a lot of people said that it wouldn't be duplicated, then he did it again, the James Stewart came along and had a perfect season too.
Jett has already won a bunch of championships and has had a perfect season. I believe we will see many many more before he retires.

Easy fix for the slow rider injuries while qualifying= run it like MXGP have a race,= you get a winner and he gets a token. - that token could be used to= get a better starting pick,2=could be used to negated penalty. It could also be 3=applied as a point if you needed it for that. And make it interesting at least or you could even do super pole type things which should be really cool

that practice/qualifying issue is very real.. Really they shouldn't roll at all......more groups would probably be safest but track conditions ect between sessions could come into play

Cooksey very clever here. Jett and Lance Armstrong in the thumbnail. The biggest red flag I've seen for years is a rider going 6 seconds a lap faster for 2 laps at the end of a 2nd moto on a dry track against other professional athletes doesn't pass the smell test for me.
Drug testing should be in MXGP and AMA and done regularly.

So what your saying is Jace from Gypsy tales is right and we need a set of 22 guys on factory and factory supported teams that are the 22 best guys in the world and then we have a feeder class that races Friday night. Your already doing press day Friday we could do practices and feeder class racing on Friday Saturday is the big boys. Allows more time for track prep and repairs and prolly easier on the riders. I think outdoors we just have 40 guys and let 18 privateers in but supercross needs to be addressed maybe 3 guys from c practice have made it in the night show even in history we don’t need those guys out there and most of the time it just feels like they’re going to hurt themselves either cuz their just young and not ready or just simply don’t have the talent. Either way Jace was right and you just admitted it😂
