Don't know if it's in the works or not, but a video centered around writing a Why Transfer essay for Community College and other transfer students would be super useful. Some things I'd love to have answered would be like, should the why transfer essay be more memoristic, or straightforward with its reasoning? How in detail should the essay be on reasons to tranfer to that school in particular if that the school also has a why us essay?
These are excellent questions! Why transfer essays are quite different from regular common apps -- the main essay should be about what the applicant did in the last 6-12 months, and if possible, feature tangible real-world experience (ie a job, internship, volunteering, etc.). The supplemental essays specific to each college also need to be incredibly well-researched (think at least 20 hours per school) and offer a bulletproof case as to why xyz school is the best possible fit for the applicant to study what they want! In the past, we've definitely helped kids transfer from state schools/community colleges to Ivies, but it is a much harder game.

Is 11th grade too late to start volunteering? Pls help. I believe I’ve done extracurriculars like research and dual enrollment and 2 clubs (science Olympiad and women in STEM) but that’s about it 😭
Thanks for the video! A video on CMU would be so helpful next! Also, I've seen some sources online recommend using the same idea / same essay for multiple supplementals that are similar but from different schools . Do you think this is a good idea? I feel like it's not gonna be a good idea because when you use the same idea you basically lose the nuances of the values of each individual school so the essays aren't nearly as effective (even if you save time by doing this)

Just write about a different service and comms story for Princeton! You probably volunteer with more than one org~
