Has a feeling of another one of Sanderson’s books where the characters at the end feel impossibly disadvantaged… (SPOILER BELOW) Hero of Ages has this feeling for essentially the entire book!
I'd love it to be that Dalinar chooses himself as champion, but is foiled and fails the contest, but they jerryrig it enough that Todium can't use Dalinar against his former allies and family and the back five books they figure out how to get him beyond the Rosharan subastral and he's sent into the wider cosmere to fight in this greater war (Autonomy's machinations?)
Great recap! Have you heard theories that Gavilar could be alive somehow and used as Odium’s champion? Not sure how I would feel about that. Can’t wait. Sanderson is a master of setting up incredible triumphs.
I’ve heard inklings of that, but it would seem T-Odium would need to use a plan that Rayse made that way, which he wouldn’t have done because he *knew* Dalinar would be his champion before oathbringer. Who Dalinar faces will certainly be a huge revelation, and could be shocking
Brandon has said that the Highstorm predates even the Shattering, and I think we've seen that all life native to Roshar has adapted to the Highstorm, so I'd be surprised if it hasn't always been pretty much in its current form.
@@Unarchivist Maybe he means, each iteration of the Everstorm? Like, how we believe now the Highstorm doesn't just circle the planet, a new one is spawned each time, and we've even seen an Everstorm simply dissipate. So maybe he just means that every nine days is a new Everstorm, so it's before those storms.
@@Unarchivist I always read it as "before the storms" - plural, as in, there used to be just the highstorm, and the everstorm is a new never before seen thing.
Oh wow. When people cite the "Child Champion" theory they always focus on Gavinor. I personally think it will be Oroden, and it's interesting to see him mentioned here.
Oroden is also only *younger* than Gavinor, so it’s even less likely in my mind. Really unsure how this will go, but personally hoping for not a child champion.
@@Unarchivist I mean, yeah. That's the sort of thing an evil god of hatred would pick... If you mean about the "willing" thing, remember that will can be coerced. Dalinar barely found off Odium's pressure and he's a very old man with very firm convictions. I think it wouldn't be too hard for Odium to attack Oroden in a way that would get him to cave.
Great question! Summaries of each part of these big books that include new world building tidbits is a big video category on the list! Will probably start with The Way of Kings because that’s where I struggled personally to understand. Also want to do deep dives on stuff like Death Rattles, mechanics, and lore. Before the end of the year, there will be a video that includes the near term plans for the channel, so stay tuned!!
@@UnarchivistI’d love to see deep dives into each individual book in the SA showcasing all the foreshadowing that we might have missed, culminating in speculation for books 6-10. But that might be a lot of work 😅 Anyway, I’ve enjoyed this recap leading up to Wind and Truth! Good stuff, Radiant!
Cultivation hiding in the shadows of The Valley for so long definitely will have a big impact. The previous video covers that some, but there’s only so much we “know” know right now about her! Worldhopping Fused would be crazy, but I guess that’s what Odium and El want eventually to take the war to the rest of the Cosmere!
@Unarchivist I don't think we'll get the details of cultivations motives before arc 2 of SA, WaT may or set up someone or something as the next big bad, idn why I feel taravangian odium might get a redemption by trapping cultivation into a contract that'll get come to in arc 2 . Although this was my first read through of all Cosmere, it sometimes seems that hoid , the unmade, and the active heralds are more under the influence of cultivation, some may be under odium(rayse) but with him being a more of an unwitting proxy. It'll be interesting if we get to see more direct interactions between T-Odium & cultivation
The fused definitely have connections to worldhopers at the very least. They have white sand and at seemingly some help from a Terris world hopper who gave Venli the void spren
I fall in the Deadeye Stormfather theory. Dalinar will lose and become a Fused, making th Stormfather a Deadeye. RoW introduced the idea of this theory via the Honor Spen fearing it. For Odium champion, Zellion is one of my big theory at this point. Adolin, who's a master duelist, being my other big theory.
I personally wasn’t able to get behind deadeye stormfather JUST from Dalinar becoming a Fused. Dalinar would have held to his oath, but perhaps becoming a Fused forces him to break that oath. Adolin is up there, but Zellion would be a crazy change!
Great job painting a picture of what seems like a pretty stacked deck against Dalinar

Hero of Ages has this feeling for essentially the entire book!
this was a great way to refresh on specifically what it was I needed to keep in the forefront of my mind going into WaT, thanks for the vid!
Wow so glad it had what you needed, I worked hard on these videos to get them out before Wind and Truth. Hope you enjoy the book!
You perfectly depicted and worded the lead up to wind and truth, we appreciate your work!
Wow, I appreciate your compliment!!
It would be cool to see a video detailing the minute by minute Gavilar murder once WaT drops!
Love your videos man keep it up
Ohh that’s such a great idea, but I simply don’t have time to make a new one! I’ve taken that down as an idea for pre Stormlight 6 for sure!!
One of the best recaps out there. Thanks!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!!
Dalinar as a fused sounds cool as hell
It’s also scary as hell!! The Blackthorn Unleashed!
really good video, keep it up!
Hey thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

That would be an interesting second half arc!
Forgot how long it’s been between books, this definitely helped a lot!
Good to hear! There’s a ton to cover because these books are just so expansive

I wonder why El said the way before the storms then! Hopefully we can learn more about him soon

Interesting… certainly ambiguous phrasing
Storms!!! 1 more day!
Time to find a storm shelter!!

3 storming days!
Almost there!
Couldn't Odium use hemalurgy to restore Moash's eyesight to use him as a champion?
Perhaps, but we haven’t seen Hemalurgy used directly in Stormlight, so that would be quite the jump
What kind of content can we expect from you moving forward?

Cultivation still the shadiest character tho... Wanna see if the fused have worldhoppers on their side bringing them knowledge from other worlds.

he is a division/tension brand of the fused or being able to use biochroma
Oh interesting theory! A Fused with Breaths would be quite dangerous
Not much longer till many questions are answered
SO. CLOSE.
I cannot wait haha
no such thing as spoilers
What do you mean?? Journey before Destination, of course, but there are things you want presented to you as the author intended, right??
