Chorus stacking. A trend is born.
It's a cool trick for those of us who like to ape 80s rack tones.
@@Danthehorse Oh I'm not hating! It's my favorite effect. I'm in LOVE with this idea.
@@TLG6669 I didnt think you were dude, all good.
Use the chorus and dimension together all the time !
The vibe is tempting… I’ve the three other time/mod effects, and well, the Metal Zone. Throwing money at Boss because I couldn’t afford to in 1983? I love that the Waza crew have put so much thought and love into these. Cheers mate!
…and not featured here, I also have the Waza Fuzz, which is uniquely awesome!
Oh nice!!!
You can get a vibe mode from the WAZA chorus for 2 in 1
I got the DC-II, it really shines in stereo. I wasn't convinced at all in mono. Also, for some reason, it's the best sounding chorus for distortion and lead tones. It's a very unique chorus.
That was an awesome demo.fantastic playing.
Thank you kindly! So fun.
Amazing video as always, Leon. Looking forward Boss launching the DS-1 Waza version, with some Eq. That would be awesome
You had your naughty face on several times during that video.
Seriously, that VB would be nice at subtle levels to give your tones added fullness and character.
Can’t go wrong with a metal zone. So much hate and yet it’s so damn good.
I think that's a skill issue, or like Ola Englund said: "Most of us played it through a 10inch Marshall MG combo"
I mean, literally the Guitar God of Japanese metal scene fixed this pedal for you, and you still complain??? I don't understand people. Also I do think the fact that this pedal is dark grey, makes it kinda unique. It's like ash color or something
I supose that its the amplifier model or something like that, that makes the pedal easyier or harder to get a nice tone... Just a theory, but even the worse pedal sounds nice in a Plexi, for example
Love all the videos mate
I think we all love you love the long hair Aussie -:)
Thankyou for watching :)
4:26 lol. Isn’t that a crazy feeling when you know how to play the riff and have done it hundreds of times but just can’t get your fingers to do it. 🤣
Also I think if you switched the order of the blues driver and the overdrive and used them both it would sound great
the luls in the chainsaw tones. Awesome Leon. That Dimension C sounds killer.
I just upgraded my cheap Donner pedals with NS-2, OD-3 and RV-6. Your reviews definitely helped. Thanks!
Great to hear!
At the end I was transported to 40 years ago in my bedroom producing outrageous noises and making my neighbors run for cover.😆 Thanks!!
I’d enjoy a demo of the newest Waza from Boss, the FZ-1w Fuzz. Love all your videos!
As would I!
Absolutely EPIC very cool video. I would love to have the DC2 but I can’t run it in stereo and I heard it’s underwhelming in mono but definitely need the CE2!Rock on LT this video was fun man!
DC2 on bass in mono is pretty awesome!
The CE-2W and DC-2W. I have tried a myriad of chorus pedals and I always find myself going back to one of these two. When using blues driver style pedals as a boost, they usually work great as an "always on set and forget" type of boost.
If you could only get one of those two, which one would you pick?
@@Dukecornflakes DC-2W. The CE-2W is phenomenal and better than almost any other chorus you will find on the market. However, the DC-2W just has something "special" about it.
great video!
Thanks!
thye SD1 before the Blues driver is what id change, they sound great stacked like that
OMFG LT - wallet's open for a Waza Dimension C 🔥👏👏nicely done sir!!
just amazing
I really think the whole 200 series would make a kickass all Boss pedalboard.
Add the DC-2 and RV-6 and I think it’d hang with the big boi high end pedalboards just fine.
The 200 series are nice.
Loving the bridge of sighs during the vibrato pedal
Thanks mate! Desert island disc right there
Wow, what a set up.
Stooky, love the video as always. Not gonna lie, I kinda want to try out the Dimension C chorus pedal. Stooky as always
This video is pure gold
the CE 2 / DC2 combo with drive is insane
I think an SD-1 (or a TS-9) when used as a booster needs to be last pedal right in front of the amp. Else it boosts the next pedal's input and looses some volume and some "mojo", doesn't sound and feel the same. I have a Line6 M5 in flanger or chorus mode going into a TS-9 into the front of an Engl Screamer 50 combo in crunch mode with gain at 12:00 o' clock to clean up with guitar volume. M5 has a DC-2 mode, it's nice but it needs two amps to shine.
Finally! A review that uses the Dimension C properly.
Still waiting on that Waza Slow Gear.
Haha, great demo!
Own the BD Waza, Just bought an SD1 Waza as my original from the 90s was getting touchy. Dimension and Ce2 combo might be something to try next. Throw a Dd-20 and an rv-6 on there for consistency in looks and were set.
Besides the tone bender fz 1 and whatever else you have every one
Hey Leon enjoyed the video can you make another video with all 12 Boss Waza Craft pedals. Including Heavy Metal, Ds-1w, Fuzz and the Bender pedal. TiA!
You have the sickest collection of toys in the world for a semi non famous guitarist. You play good and deserve good gear. But I’m blown away how one has the time to make good videos and buy all that gear and learn their way around it all. I can’t even make a decent video knocking rust off my tools. A lot of work . slash is probably envious of this channel
I'm pretty lucky to have a bunch of awesome stuff, as well as the ability to borrow things like this board!
Waza or not, the SD1 is still one of the most underrated overdrives ever. You can easily find one for 30€ and it will be handy in every situation. If i'd be able to take 2 from your board to mine, it would be SD1 and DC2. Because y'know, 80's :D
For me it's the perfect Metal boost.
Facts
Fully agreed. I love the SD-1 and will not accept any other overdrive/boost. Also, DC-2 is the best modulation unit of all time
I have the standard one but the waza here seems like it’s unnecessary expensive especially due to the fact that they’re all SMT boards now and many people have said they preferred the SD-1. In fact Tommy Emmanuel said it was all you need!
SD-1 is the KING!
Made an all Boss board almost like that. SD-1 is the best ever! Analog Delay is also fantastic.
All you need is that board full of metal zones so you can sound like a static explosion of destruction.
THIS
Of course, the REAL way to test these are through a tube amp with speakers mic'd. You can do it, Leon!
For full authenticity a pair of 15w solid state Crate combos with the metal zone never off is the way!
@@LeonTodd That’s very undigital of you.
'In the New Age' Respect.
So many pedals, so little time. Enormous fun listening to this, especially the filth into those long delays and both choruses. So greasy.
Question for Leon: What Boss pedal would you like to see a Waza-version of?
21:34 I think you just ripped a hole in the fabric of the universe! 😅
I have a non waza blues driver. I am currently selling all my pedals to afford an fm9..I'm gonna miss it! Such as awesome pedal overlooked by many!
Keep it… pedals are great in front of my fm3.
@@dracul74 already sold to a friend. No worries if I ever need it I'll be able to get it back from him
@@francescocagnacci between presets and scenes the fm3 has hundreds of usable sounds. It’s my fav part of the unit really. With the helix I was always fiddling and never liked the stock sounds. With the fm3 I can usually find something I don’t even need to tweak. I do like to use some of the dry scenes with external gear just to switch it up… but not needed. I like pedals live as it is very easy to tweak your sound on the spot.
@@dracul74 i know! I played and fm3 and axe8 from friends I know (live even) and I finally decided to switch 100%
If you wanna get really crazy, put a phaser after the delay.
anyone else with a boss bd2w notice scratching gain pot when bending down and rotating it back and forth after strumming a chord? but the pot doesnt sound scratchy when not playing at all and rotating it back and forth---just a weird annoying observation i noticed
Do you use a noise suppressor as well?
I love my waza metal zone, but when is boss going to make a new high gain/metal pedal its been so long now😂
I hate that there’s no reverb haha. But kinda hard to have a waza RV pedal…
What’s that red superstrat back there? Don’t think I’ve seen it before.
You will soon!
Boss Pedals are mostly always amazing. Independant if it is WAZA or not. But what i can say is, the Boss Katana Artist MK II with the 12 inch WAZA speaker in it sounds much better than than Katana MK II normal Combo.
Sd1 into BD is the way to go
There needs to be a Waza version of the DS-1 Distortion pedal!! The current model with the surface mount circuit board, cannot be modded, so a Waza version could be a big improvement on the current model!!
It doesn’t look right without the 80s Boss plastic 6 pack case (haha I know they wouldn’t fit)
😂Yep
Every time I hear a blues driver I’m angry that I don’t own one, but every time I have cash on hand something flashier with more knobs steals my attention :/
wheres the DS-1W?
I shot this before that had come out
I just want to know how you got all your money?
Is this all waza craft boss made in japan??
I believe so
I've always loved the metal zone (can of angry bee's) and can never understand the online hate for that pedal?
All I can think of is that if you’re really into thrash, which I definitely am, I really love this pedal for Palm muting and it’s thrashy aggressive sound, but I think a lot of people try to get a rock sound out of it like AC/DC and are disappointed , that’s all I can think of because I’ve always loved this pedal
@@sepultura7771 yea man back in the 90's if you wanted that chaos A.D tone, I could always get it with the zone.👍🤘🙏🎸
missing a couple of Fuzz pedals...
Wow, TB-2 is $1,000.00+! FZ-1 is $250.00… that explains it
Play a little and hit the button!
We want to hear the Pedal, not you!
