Fubuki Explores American BIG BURGER Culture (Hololive) [ENG SUB]

- As an American, it's always extremely interesting to see how other countries view USA culture in general, but especially with regards to food. Here is a clip where Fubuki goes to Wendy's (Japan) website and is awestruck by the cultural divide that exists between bentos and borgars. U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!
If Fubuki comes to the US, I'll treat her to In-N-Out, 5 Guys, and Shake Shack.

I went on vacation to America recently, and I was amazed at how BIG everything is, from the buildings to the food (and the people); what I particularly found fascinating was how they put the calorie count on the menu in restaurants and fast foods.
Naturally, when I ate at 5 Guys, I put everything in my milkshake, including bacon. That one milkshake was easily 1000 calories, not even including the shit I did to my burger. It was amazing.
Edit: a few comments have pointed out that my math may be wrong lol. Edited accordingly.
Putting calories on the menus wasn't a thing until the last decade, as it started becoming required by law in some places to do so. The idea being that people will be more reluctant to order something if they see it's packed with a billion calories.
Not that it ever will affect my own ordering habits. Not as if I've ever went to a fast food chain and thought, "Gee, I'm sure gonna make some informed healthy eating decisions today."

Western fast food overseas has to appeal more since they have to compete with already established fast food places and healthier traditional cooking so they have to ramp up their menu and quality in turn. I want fast food places here in the US to adopt menus but theirs no need to since Fast Food here is already dominating meaning no change in menu or quality.
"Japanese" American Wendy's. That moment when the American Wendy's gets shit on by it's international outlets
It isn't really shit on, its made with a different purpose. American fast food is WAY cheaper than their locations outside of the US, because naturally outside the US American fast food is "special", being foreign and all.
@@DaveSmith-cp5kj That and also in japan for example, the focus on food being quality is highly considered, culturally. Even those random food venders on the street will have amazingly good stuff. American fast food is more "fuck it, im hungry. Im gettin somthin." Plus american fast food cost to cost is also VERY cheap compared to other nations. Its not meant as a steady diet thing, its more meant as the name implies, somthing you can quickly grab on your way to other things, or to home, so on. Its for those who dont have time or energy to make a meal and dont want to spend a huge amount of time and money to get it.
@@Carrack090 That originally stemmed from the large size of the US, if I remember correctly. People often have to travel (comparatively) long distances just to function in everyday modern life, so being able to craft a quality home-cooked meal is sometimes a luxury Americans have to forgo in order to keep up with life here. Therefore having a quick, relatively tasty, and warm meal for a reasonable price on the go is in high demand.
@@sanitarycockroach9038 I don't think that's factual at all. I know the reason McDonald's is the way it is was because the owner wanted the food to taste the same at every area and I guess that means you can't make it taste good anywhere?

The editing and animation on the subtitles is actually high quality. Mad kudos, you must have spent a lot of time on it
Her actually applauding the utter genius of not just 2 steaks, but 3 steaks is incredible.
After the stream, Wendy's Japan representative: "Thank you, Ms. Shirakami, it was a pleasure working with you"
This was it. This was the video that led me to the rabbit hole. Now we have hololive EN season 2
I remember a foreigner coming to America (we became friends) We go to a fast food place and the look on her face was the most funniest thing ever. She tells me "wow big America hamburger"(Still working on her english) she got a triple patty burger. She stuffed her face with the burger and the fries and said "we come here again next week" I said sure. Biggest smile on her face when i agreed.
One of the first Hololive clips I ever saw, still a favorite. Excited Foob is great
3:40
Ohhhh it’s from Lucky Star, I hear that and I always hear a certain cheese related song in my head.
For me I hear a certain pizza related song
"The bread is just decoration" XD
0:39 i love the *smol* voice when talking about calories
She sounds so amazed, I'm impressed on how she's taking a menu as if it's a huge discovery
I keep coming back to this video, I love it lol
This is the video that sent me down the rabbit hole
"MAKE HAMBURGER COUNTRY! NICENICENICENICENICE!" (If you know, you know.)
North americans: *stacks meat on a bread*
Fubuki: AMAZING!!
Me on Fasting: -_-
*Proceeds to watch it*
I know what you mean mate, 26 days to go
Stay strong brother, I am fasting too.
HELP
this is like NNN
@@Geheimnis-c2e it's literally NNN... But not November
I was looking back on it, and this video was the first ever vtuber clip I ever watched, so thanks a lot for poisoning me
This is one of my all time favourite hololive clips and it's just for Fubuki's adorable reactions
Fubukis English is so good
People here being all "We don't have this and that in *our* Wendy's, not fair!"
And I'm over here just like "What's a Wendy's? Is it edible?"
Not sure if it exists or not in my country as a whole, but personally I sure as hell haven't seen one so far.
I feel you bro
Yup it joins the ranks of things like tacobell, starbucks and I think it's something like pasta garden*. which tends to show up in films & TV but never in real life.
Dont even have wendys here in the uk, this kind of makes me wish we did, though ive never actually seen wendys
Karsh, you probably have it in your country, but brand registration is a hell of a practice when crossing country boarders. It might branded under a different name.
It’s like GameStop and EB Games. They’re the same company but localized with different names.
wendys compared to mcdonalds or burger king in the states is often the best choice, break fast is a spot McDonald's has claimed for the past 80 to 60 years
3:00 -- Holy shit, poffertjes? Why the hell does an American chain in Japan have Dutch food?
They had special trade relations back then.
The funniest part is that their “USA” burgers are way bigger there than the ones they serve here in America 😂 we don’t even have half of these crazy burgers like the one with no bread.
I could listen to her speak English forever though. It’s adorable
This is like, weekly watch for me. I don't know why. Perhaps this is like watching those cooking / food vlogging videos at night, but bonus point for featuring animu girl
