I am still learning about that. Prices vary from state to state but I think it's about $20-$25 for a full charge at a supercharger, which takes 15-20 minutes.
@@FreddySherman So it's like $20 for 400 miles which can be close to a Honda Civic or some small subcompact. So I guess it's cheaper to fill up than an SUV. Also the wait time is probably a game changer as well. Finding an empty depot and the time charging can effect it all.
@@loudmouthnewyorker2803 Most Teslas don't have that range. The Model 3 range is 272 miles, with a more expensive long range version available with 325 mile range. My Prius has a range of just under 600 miles with a full tank, which currently costs about $50 for me to fill up.
I agree, but it's about the technology, that's where Tesla seems to spend the money. This was a rental since my car was having issues and it was cheaper ($51 a day) than some of the other options so I thought I would try it out.
@@FreddySherman I concur, it is about the tech.. however, I heard from EV fans that there are better options than Tesla these days. I'm not a fan of EV so can't say much, hence I go with the looks :)
@@NomiSyed1 They were the only game in town until a few years ago, now there are many option, cheaper and better! I just had the Kia EV6 GT, same as the performance Tesla for half the price.
What's the cost for charging? Is it equal to gasoline?

It's cheaper (and slower) to charge at a non-supercharger.

@@FreddySherman Maybe Tesla will come out with a hybrid next. That'll be a real game changer.
