@@norahalsharif5499 We hear you, Nora! It's important to cast a very wide net because you're right that many professors are not open to this. Keep at it!

Hi! I would like to be part of a research opportunity, but I would like them to guide me in my research too. It matches a lot with what the researcher has been doing. Should I mention it, but still ask for a position as an assistant in their research projects?
    Thanks!

Thank you for your helpful youtube videos. I have a question.
I am an international high school graduate looking for a virtual research internship in Computer Science in the fall.
But some say that it is only available in summer whereas some say it is possible.
Could you please tell me what exactly is the truth?

Awesome video. Prior to this video, I had read Shemmassian's article on how to write a research assistant's cover letter. I have a question: As a high schooler, what if we have NO experience?
    Thank you!

Hello Thiago! You've got to start somewhere, so it's OK to reach out even with no experience. So long as you demonstrate a ton of curiosity, show professors you did your homework, etc. then you'll put yourself in a good position!

    Hi,
I noticed that the professors I was interested in contacting also had their numbers on the website. Would calling them be a viable option, or would that be a bad idea? I currently am emailing them. Thanks so much!

Email or call would be fine!

I am interested in nuclear physics / nuclear engineering, but I sincerely doubt that any high schooler can find research in those fields. What should I do?

As a high schooler, you aren't expected to know a lot about something like nuclear physics. If you reach out to different researchers, they'll initially have you do things like analyzing data and stuff, and eventually you'll start doing more research. Hope this helps! :)

You can still get research experience from online/virtual programs.
