Best one I've seen yet for plastic Brian. Awesome Job!
This is some solid advice. I appreciate the knowledge. Much more realistic and professional looking. Thank you very much.
Solution to all fenders that tires rub on is all auto manufactures need to make fenders larger muxh more rounded out being majority people put bigger wheels on their trucks & wind up cutting fenders & getting body & suspension lifts.
You also could shove a piece of lumber [2x3 or 1x4] between the tire and the plastic piece as a spacer. It would give uniformity to the job [and free up some time].
I used a heat gun to soften the plastic wheel liner a piece of cardboard between wheel and liner then turned wheel into liner to take shape of wheel let cool.
Solid idea
Great idea. Lifted my Ram and have rubbing didn’t want to cut it up. Thanks!
Super B. You do a great job of 'filming', lighting, describing, editing AND entertaining...guess that's why you have such a following. Thanks for another helpful vid.
That's an easy enough fix nicely done.
Thank You SIR..👍
...was bout to just CUT IT ALL OUT...! ha
My wife's gonna think I'm out there tweekin.. lol
Lmao!!!
Dude thanks I never would have thought of doing it like this. Awesome
Definitely help me out gonna do this when I’m off work just got some 305/60r18 nitto with some new vision turbine rims
I knew there was an easy fix someone came up with that the first time,I wonder who the first crazy bastard was that thought riding a bull was a good idea..love and respect ...
Nice fix cowboy 👍
Minimal intrusion with maximum effect! Nicely completed.
Do they make a bolt on stop to keep from truning
Informative and funny . Awesome video
I just installed 2” hubcentric wheel spacers on my Ram 1500. I have noticeable rubbing, is trimming not a good idea or doing it your way better?
Cutting is the only way to go. My experience with it is you cut it rubs, you cut it rubs, keep repeating until you have little to know rubs
@@SpeeeedyG I’m confused. Are you saying to cut the plastic instead of doing it your way in this video?
@@joestreetglider bro read the first line in the my last comment. Cut it.
What size tires do you have on your truck? And is it lifted or leveled? Thanks
I got 305 70 r16 on my stock 93 chevy z71 and they run like that to thank you very much👍
Great video , did this a few months ago but it still rubs , a lot less but have to re do
Same problem I just got 33s I cat turn without rubbing
Perfect tool!
Awesome fix. Thanks for taking the time to post.
I have the same tires on mine, love em.
Good helpful vid…!
Cool hat dude
Thanks for the video...good idea i can do!!
FLAMING JAZZ HANDS!
I have a 2015 kia optima car. My car is making that same sound, when im driving. Its annoying! I looked myself and the black cover above the tires is hanging low and rubbing against the tire. Would you say that is missing a bolt or something? Would it be bad just to rip the whole cover thing off?
Yes, don't rip it off! It could definitely be a screw that came loose / rusted away. Look for any holes where the screw may have been, and just screw it back into place :)
Thank you!
Thanks brodiee
I have a question that maybe someone here could help me with... I put 265/75R16s on my truck and before I had 245/75R16s now the back side of the front driver side tire scrubs on the frame when I turn all the way left however the passenger side tire does not scrub when I turn right! Does anyone know why that is?
What if the tire rubs on the white part of the frame at the bottom
nice, and super cheap..well if you have heatgun or torch on hand.
What was that little metal tool called?
Like the video Brian .
You Rock. That is all.
Will this work on a F150 2000 too?
What'll happen if you drive with the rubbing for a while? Im in a rental
cool video
Can any one give an approximation of how much clearance this will give you?
Same problem..its progressively getting worse..I also see it s hitting part of my bumper.. how do I handle the bumper part??
Poke SUBSCRIBE right in the face
Love the content, Brian. Keep it up and have a great spring.
Would a sludge hammer work?
Why front left side of my tire is rubbing against fender, while right side does not.
Did u ever find out? Mines the same
@@justinferguson507 have you ever found out 😂mine is on the right side but i dont know how to fix it
I think I’m having this problem or I need a new hub bearing
Nice!!
Can I use a grill lighter?
You could, but itd take a while
Me + fire + truck = 🚒🚒🚒
All Kinds of Gains!!
Omg I to am having problems because of my k02's and extenders on my white Dodge truck
My car rubs on the inner fender when fully cranked right, but only on the right wheel, would an alignment fix this?
Take it to a shop, imo you would have to be 100% sure its the fender thats rubbing. Otherwise Its most likely a slightly bent break rotor, ect.
Probably not. It's more likely the splash guard is loose if it's black plastic. If it's rubbing on metal it may need an adjustment to a limit bolt. Not knowing what car it is I have to shotgun guess diagnose it. If it's a front wheel drive car that's rubbing a metal inner fender and there are no other adjustments it COULD be a tow setting that's compensating for a crooked steering wheel install job.
What, no 8 inch body or suspension lift?
Yeah, I don't need the bed of the truck 8" higher and I've got all the ground clearance I was looking for. Great question though.
briansmobile1 it was said with tounge and cheek.one mod leads to another then the next thing you know you're family and friends are calling you a red neck Mexican with a sky high f250! Not that it happened to me. But my God it was beautiful 😍
@@theadventuresofjavier8698 awesome 🇲🇽🐓😂
why not stick to reasonable size tires?
NebukedNezzer How?
On my truck I have one size above stock and they fit fine no problems. its easy. just ask at the tire store. "what size fits my vehicle" don't go bigger that that.
NebukedNezzer above stock also screws my gearing for towing
Yes, I spect out my silverado 4x4 with optional. 4:10 gears so with bf goodrich all terrain KO size 265 16 the engine runs 2100 rpm at 65 mph. I am happy with that.
NebukedNezzer my Cummins has 3.55 and it struggles a bit with big hill at low speeds. Does good above 40mph but taking off kinda sucks. I think my transmission is toasted
How to fix,. USE WHAT COMES IN THE DAMN TRUCK
Oh, hop off… old man
