You did great !! It's always good to hear when someone escapes this cult. I am not a JW and never have been, but my best friend from High School is still trapped. I wish she would escape, too. You have great insight and I look forward to hearing about your life. I married an abusive alcoholic and divorced him after 7 years, also. So we have something in common. Welcome to the real world where we are just trying to be the best person we can be.
I’m so glad you are free and a part of the women army for the Ex JW community! I’ve out since 2016 at the age of 72 , soon to be 77 and three years as an activist for the Hispanic community! Every year more people are living the cult but as you said more women are waking up! Welcome !!!
It’s interesting you mention that women are “the large army”. I now know 7 women that woke up from this cult in the last 2 years, and although we are still struggling, we call ourselves the large army and we are a great support to one another. Two of us are planning to start a channel soon, already working on our first videos, and we are doing our best to lovingly get our families out...a very tough task! Thank you for your channel, hard work and bravery! ❤️. Love your wall of art.
Great to see/hear your video, I can see already with your first video that you're going to be a major player in bringing about the end of the watchtower.
Your 82 subscriber!!! And yes, you have an excellent voice. Please we need your testimony because lots of pimo's are very afraid; they need the encouragement of the ladies and the woman voices. Have fun here and post anytime you want.
All the best and looking forward to your insights. Having been born into this ‘cult’ and escaping in my early 20’s only to be shunned by family and everyone that I knew at the time it’s a difficult experience. I never had the internet back then but now times have changed and it’s great that these atrocities can be told to millions and no longer a personal burden to manage.
Hello!!! (Don’t know your name, if you want to share) First of all I LOVE your turquoise wall with the ship paintings, made me happy! I started painting since I left the borg (art therapy!) & I love color!!! I also enjoyed very much your first video, sounds a lot like my family, 5 kid’s, mom was the spiritual head, etc., etc.. I left a year ago, but had been waking up over the past 5 yrs.. You have a great flow to your video & I so look forward to the next one!!! I admire those in the ExJW world who became activist, takes a lot of courage but I can see how it’s very therapeutic too. Until next time!😍
Thank you so much for all the kind words. Very nice to know we're not alone, but also sad so many of us had such a bizarre life. Looking forward to sharing more, soon!
Omg our lives are so similar!! We even seem to be the same age range..I would love to be able to just sit and talk and exchange stories...so many things you experienced I did too, even the whole cong thing being small everyone related. Homeschool, abuse, just so many things I want to say, hey me too or yup that’s me.
Isn’t it ironic that we felt so alone growing up only to discover so many of our peers were going through the same things?! Thanks for the support & maybe one day we can have that chat! ☺️
In the congregation I grew up in, somewhere in the mid 80's it suddenly became fashionable for parents to enroll their kids in one of those independent study programs where you met with your teacher once a week and then did all your assignments at home. Of course, the parents saw it as a way to keep their kids away from all that bad peer pressure. My friends and I - who were all in the last two years of high school - saw it as a way to get more time to hang out at the beach and drink beer. Not exactly what our parents had in mind. I look for ward to your future videos.
Ha! Yeah that was a few years after I was taken out of school! I wish more JW kids were homeschooled when I was so we could have done these fun/naughty things! :D
Thank you for sharing your story! I believe you will guide and motivate many to move on from this destructive cult in a safe and healthy way. Education and support are key components in this process. I agree with you...we need to hear from more exjw women like you. Women (and men ofcourse) need to know that despite the losses and hardships, there can be a healthy, happy and loved filled life after leaving. We are all stronger together!💪👍✌♥️
its a good thing you left while you are still young. The religion will destroy your life until it will be very hard to leave and you become dependent on it. It is a religion devoid of brotherly love. They only have hypocrisy there and CONDITIONAL love. Dont lose faith in God or Jesus . Godbless.
I subscribed to your channel and am safinated by your story and it always annoyed me as a brother why couldn't sisters give public talks and be ministerial servants ? The meetings would have been a lot more interesting with a sisters point of view. As children we get taught by our mothers and fathers why not at the meetings? Because Jehovah is a male chauvinist pig no offence to pigs. I dissociated in Sept 6th 2018 aged 57 I'm a Australian dissociated apostate and my you tube channel called justin porter ex jw where I do Steven Lett impersonations and talk about my agnosticism and how I cope with losing my family and friends and I film fruit bats here in tropical Queensland Australia and warm apostate love dear sister justin porter ex jw
A is for Awesome. Excellent start. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love your story so far. I can't wait to hear more!
A is for a woman who is willing to stand up for herself and others!

Great first video! Look forward to your story!
You’re not an apostate. You’re a human being like all of us. It’s like what they always say to us, make the truth your own.

Hey Johannah, excellent introduction video. I'm now getting a chance to look at them.
Thanks for sharing 🙂
Always good to see another woman joining the battle! 💚
You are so brave.

You're one of the strongest people I've ever met. Thank you for sharing your story.
Thanks, Jesse! Healing is a brutal process but this is another step in that journey. Appreciate the support more than you know!
Well done! We need more female voices. Best wishes for you and good luck with your channel!
Well done! The more of there are lending our voices and sharing our experiences, the better! 😃
Congratulations on your new channel 🌴👍

You're not wrong!
