In this Hearthstone Mercenaries F2P budget guide video, I take a look at the best PvE bounty comps you can put together from your starter and rare Mercenaries. The video can be used as a new player guide to getting started with Hearthstone Mercenaries, and it can also help casual players focus on optimal Mercenaries to progress through normal and Heroic bounties.
My channel provides all the information you need about the best Hearthstone meta decks, the best Hearthstone budget decks, and how to play Hearthstone and climb the ladder all the way to high Legend. I also create content about Hearthstone Mercenaries: the best Mercs, the fastest ways to grind, and the best comps to take on Heroic bounties.

I just recenlty started really getting into mercenaries again this past month and I wish I would have started with watching this video.
Such a really good guide.
Thanks brother, needed this right now. Just getting into Mercs
If you're new, here's a more recent new player guide: ruclips.net/video/6kg1WKs4fY0/видео.html
It's only missing Bainegore budget comp, which I built after that. Other than that, it is fully up to date.
@@OldGuardian Youre awesome man, ty. Ive consumed so many of your vids thus far. Im really liking this format
that smite cornelius combo is hilarious. i didnt know this existed lol
I have a question, does using the mercenary instead of leaving them in the bench in the runs I'm trying to get merc coins for (Wrathion coins in Louis Philips) actually decrease the probability to get them? it feels like I only get coins for Kurtus (a merc I already maxed)
Theoretically it shouldn't.
I've enjoyed your content since I started playing a few months before Galakrond Shaman was wrecking lives. I bought both big pre orders for Mercenaries. Hate to give unsolicited advice but I think you're mostly wasting your time on this game mode. I, personally, would enjoy more theory and/or Battlegrounds content. Your top deck lists are also very useful. Best wishes, sir.
The majority of my RUclips views come from Mercenaries content. Individual Mercenaries videos also get more views than individual Standard videos. As I do this for a living, I naturally need to create content for which there is demand, at least for the most part.
Being primarily a PvE mode, Mercenaries content is published in spikes: when there is something new, there is a big rush to test everything and publish all possible content about it, followed by a slower period. The Chi-Ji event was a huge drop of content that took me around a week to fully solve and I needed to focus on that.
In contrast, Standard content can be created at a fairly steady pace, and I create new Standard content almost every day.
@@OldGuardian I honestly would have never guessed that. Thanks for sharing that and taking the time. Makes a lot more sense now and I may even give a it a try again.
Just started HS few weeks ago. This mode looks quite unique as a PVE mode, but iss this mode going to be abandoned by Blizzard soon? Is this only now an afk exp farm mode?
Blizzard stopped adding more Mercenaries content in February 2023. The end-game is the infinite Mythic Boss Rush, where the bosses become harder and harder over time. Your characters will also grow stronger in that mode beyond their original max abilities. The mode keeps recycling the existing bosses though, there is nothing new coming.
Until watching this video, I thought Lokholar was garbage
Excellent. As always.
is green doing 2x damage on blue, blue on red and red on green? Otherwise i dont know why my characters sometimes do so much dmg and sometimes barely any
Yes
Yes, this is what I need. Thank you. :D
Is heroic Lord Banehollow still the best way to farm mysterious strangers?
Yes.
@@OldGuardian Thank you good sir! Love the content btw
Did they nerf Bramblethorn Totem? Now it heals as a battle cry.
The damage from the Totem was added to the baseline ability, so Guff now always has the damage. None of Guff's current equipment is very important, but the other two are generally better now. You do not use either of the abilities often, but they can sometimes help. I like the one that improves Ironbark the best.
OG do you think it's worth trying dragons as a new player? Since Yulon and Sinestra are rare I thought they'd be a good start for my wife but I wasn't sure what to slot in for the 3rd merc since she wasn't lucky enough to get Brightwing. Maybe Xyrella?
There might be something to that but I also have not figured out an appropriate third Merc, if you do not have three Dragons. Yu'lon and Sinestra can be combined with any third Dragon, really, but they're all Epic/Legendary (Alexstrasza, Long'xin, Brightwing).
Maybe Bru'kan for Nature synergies with Yu'lon? Bru'kan is the tankiest Caster, which can come in handy as you cannot heal him with the comp. Xyrella might also do. The problem is that the Dragon comp is usually incredible at outlasting any damage, but when you bring a non-Dragon, you lose those healing synergies.
@@OldGuardian I could see Brukan working too, that's a good thought. It's amazing how close the best comp is to being a free to play comp, just missing a 3rd rare Dragon
What about Nefarian?
actually helpful thx
What is the best comp that ISN'T cheap?
Depends on what for.
Fire is the best farming comp and with Balinda it can take on some tough bounties: ruclips.net/video/IDRO_TMIsIc/видео.html
Dragons are generally the best at surviving and climbing really hard bounties, but they are slow: ruclips.net/video/MqvyV2tp3qQ/видео.html
@@OldGuardian Thanks!
