- Xuefei Yang plays Sueño en la Floresta
by Barrios in the rehearsal of her Istanbul concert, June 2007. The quality of this video is better than the previous one, enjoy. Видеоклипы
Awesome! Barrios'top tremolo piece. I'm practising it, hope one day I can play it. A few days later, I will be 70. Merry Christmas and Happy new Year.
Wow!
A) it was perfect
B) It was perfect
C) She's precious!
Bravo!:):):)
Her smile at the end showed the little and shy girl inside. Her techiques were superb. With her hair falling down on her forehead and the smoothing tremolo of the so beautiful Sueño en la Floresta piece, the combo created such a wonderful experience! I love her playing!
For me, this is a priceless video. You get to see a true master musician in a relaxed atmosphere (rehearsing) showing the fruits of a lifetime of dedication to her craft. A huge amount of skill and experience is there for all to witness.
I keep returning to this, and I think it's the best rendition on youtube. The biggest challenge in this piece is fluent phrasing, not only in the tremolo parts, and she does it exceptionally well.
*sigh*
She is just so incredibly gorgeous. Her playing and her beauty amakes my heart melt...
unbelievable...this could be my favourite version
太好,太美,谢谢您了。这是我最喜欢的一首。也是mangorre's tremolo pieces 中最難的一首。您的演绎真棒。再次谢谢了。
I always thought that JW's performance on the Seville Concert was mechanical.
Now I know, for sure, that it was.
This is infinitely better.
Superb lady.
most fluid and best articulated tremolo that I've heard in this piece with beautiful dynamic contrast
I love Xuefei. Her music speaks to my soul. It doesn't get better than this. All honor and respect to her. Micha, Israel.
best version of this song, for sure!
one of the best versions of this beautiful piece, Yang is an awesome artist!
This is extraordinarily beautiful
This is one of my favourite pieces and this is the best I’ve ever heard it played. Fantastic and beautiful all at once.
One of the masterpieces of Augstin Barrios Mangore
Beautiful & Emotional piece played by a Great & Emotional Player!!!
i love that tremolo
its so smooth and clear
Played with true feeling.
I love it , it's very touching, you are very good, never stop.
Whoever thinks this great guitarist's play is robotic should be pitied. It just shows he or she has not (or cannot) listen to music.
This piece is so full of life. Technique at the service of music. This is what it is. Just enjoy the music.
Barrios' works are like Chopin's for guitar - very difficult , but full of emotion and passion - kind of sweet sorrow - an awesome playing and interpretation one
Muy buena versión ✔
¡Viva Barrios!
in love!
this is music very good,I´m portuguese and loves very much xuefei yang she is the best
Superb...such raw talent and heavenly grace!
I love the way she smiles at the end. I've seen her do it in several of her videos :D
Clearly this is the BEST tremolo in the world.
very beautiful...
The tremolo is full of dynamics and evenly played.
what a wonderful tremolo
Un "tremolo" straordinario, magnifico!
Gran técnica y musicalidad. ¡Brava!
Congrats! I love that feeling. :] So happy for you. It must feel awesome.
This is so beautiful.
She is a genius...
Mesmerizing song.
Daniel Ramirez Piece*, excuse me. lol
How wonderful!
Ever get that feeling, like everything you have to say seems cheap, and you had better shut up and just listen to the music?? I do, now. She's great, I am in awe of her...
iTunes has removed this album(romance de amor - xuefei yang) where this song comes from, don't know why. Luckily I got a second hand CD, I appreciate every single song from it.
Just great
Fantastico.... demais...
i felt master's touch
for like ten seconds this makes me want to play more guitar, then it makes me want to burn my guitar and take up another hobby.
One of the best interpretations of Un Sueño IMHO. Excellent tremolo and somewhat more dramatic than Berta Rojas' magisterial version.
lovely beautiful !
hermosa interpretacion
Gran guitarrista. Felicidades.
Bravo!
Very good !
Marvellous.
Xuefei's tremolo is simply unmatched. I find John Williams' tremolo much less linear in comparison. The melody feels disrupted whenever John uses his p finger, but not so when Xuefei plays.
Extremely well played. Only thing I don't like is the suddenly aggressive mood at the end of the first tremolo part. Strange she's not the only one who does that!
AWESOMEEEEE
Listen to how much her playing and technique has improved from her video playing the same song in 2000! I saw her last year, and she blew my mind in a way no other classical guitarist I've seen has been able to do. I do prefer the version of this song recorded live in San Francisco, though. It's on youtube as well.
As she said, guitar found her. Not the other way around
Thanks Craigalake!
BRAVA
Yes, it is and I think that's what he means.
I think the difference between you and John Williams is that you played with heart. I like your version.
Brava bravissima !!!
The tongue at the final: cool!!!
Hut ab. Starke Leistung!
i love you
Rehearsals tend be better than concerts, since there is no risk.
We wish we could bottle ‘rehearsal mindset’ and use it in concert.
What's the deal at 0:41? My version has no change of scordatura there. I can imagine that it might help a LOT with some of the tangles....
I only started learning this two days ago though, so I might not have the best copy out there.
Anyone?
@guitar16 You can't make anything of beauty while angry. In fact, I'm not sure there is even an excuse to get angry, ever, when music like this is in our world.
Not sure but he definitely bought a Bernabe. However this year (or late last year) when he came to Perth, Australia, Greg Smallman came to the concert with 5 guitars for Williams to try so I'm not sure what he is doing.
I like your comment, sir.
This is great. brilliant performance. shame about the slight tuning issues and the slightly uneven sound of the recording, but hey it's in rehearsal and not a pro shot vid, and it captures the moment just great.
I want to buy that guitar!
By the way is Williams really changing to Bernabe? Where did you hear that?
I can envision Venice Italy or Buenos Aires right about now...
Who is the luthier of this guitar?
are you talking a little after the 3 minute mark? That's written in the song.
tremolo is rly good
Come on! That's a 2001 Greg Smallman guitar mate! Did u know how hard and how long the waiting list is to get this guitar? Even John Williams uses it for years until his Paulino Bernabe Royal guitar is made!!!
i need some advice....why did she tune her guitar when she played? is that a technique?
@guitar16 cheers, my friend. :)
She and Antigoni Goni...
amaizing....i never knew a woman can play guitar like this.....wow
อยากเด้
Is it true? Williams changed his guitar?
Yes, I know exactly what the guitar is and waiting lists don't make a guitar great. Sure, Smallmans are loud and are easy to make a decent sound on even with crap nails but they lack clarity and punch because of the slow response of the soundboard. Simon Marty guitars (other significant Australian guitar) blow them away both in terms of volume and clarity whilst still sounding like a guitar with all the tonal colours you'd get from a traditional style. (With a 2.5 year waiting list as well).
Greg Smallman
why does everyone think they need a smallman guitar when there are so many others that are better!
lol 6:41 But beautifully played
@fireatwill1994 nja, does kinda
@mikaeltheviking why would you like to see that? She uses her fingers to play... not looking at the guitar does not make someone a better player....
haha hut ab :DD
Great playing of this piece, but having seen her live at the wigmore hall a few years ago, I really don't like the tone of Smallmans.
Williams did indeed buy a Bernabé Imperial, but I've no idea why, or if he plans to use that in preference to his Smallmans at any point. If anyone does know, I'd be most interested to find out.
likea a robot? have you ears?
man, shes really good, i would like to see her play without looking at the guitar at all though, heh, next level of expertise i guess.
Robot? Hmmm....I believe consistency is more touching.
Yours is like a dangling ding-a-ling that couldn't stand up.
always funny how the Asians imagine South American music. Completely soulless, purely mechanical. Hello, South America has a completely different temperament than the Asians. A completely different attitude to life, a different sense of values. Sorry more than boring
Very good play, but please honey, buy yourself a nice guitar. Your are always loud and noisy but lack character and finesse. Loud guitars aren't always the best guitars. Try a Panhuyzen for example
