Yes. I bought one of these to desolder the potentiometer on my speaker control pod and my PS5 controller. It does the job, but I have to give it a go many times. It's very frustrating, but it does its job. Maybe I will get the more expensive YiHua brand. Kudos. By the way, the slightly burnt tip is factory QC. Mine is also slightly burnt. FYI
Thanks for watching, and you’ll love the Yihua. As for the burn-in, some discoloration is expected for that, yes. But not staining where the hot barrel was set down on something, or melted portions of the power cord :)
I got the Yihua and it's been great so far. Takes a few minutes to heat up, but once it's at temperature, desoldering just takes seconds. It's so much more effective than a separate iron and pump.
