Can i ask a question? I been trying to ask in FB groups and what not. You can do this or purchase $100+ linkage where does doing this measure up to spendign that money? Like is it pretty close of a difference in the location of the pedal. I have done this and dont know if it because I got small feet but its still not stopping me in a pinch without standing on it.
There is a easier way that doesn't require you to remove the Master Cylinder/Reservoir. Remove your brake pedal mounting bolt after you remove the pin & retainer connecting the pushrod and you have all the space you need by taking the pedal off.
You can also replace the brake linkage i bought a greene brothers brake linkage for my 21 fxlrs and its significantly better you can also raise and lower the pedal on the fly just like the clutch linkage with a 10mm wrench
Thanks bro! This helped me adjust my rear brake on my Low Rider ST. Thank you for the video!
You’re very welcome!
Great video - RIGHT TO THE POINT! People often yap forever before showing you what you need. Thank you for being better!
i also drilled out the bracket to 5/16" and put a stainless 5/16" clevis pin in it. took out all the slop.
Thanks bud, very informative!
You’re very welcome
3 yrs later, HD still has not changed how they ship these bikes. Is it laziness or indifference on their part? Or something else? Appreciate the info!
you’re very welcome!
for mid controls the best thing to do is get a adjustable linkage.

What does this do ? Increase the angle of the lever itself or something else?
Increases the angle and allows you to get more leverage.

moves the pedal up some.
