So glad this came up to my attention. I'd loved Planxty's rendition for years, so I was curious to hear what you did with it. A beautiful song, delivered sensitively. Lovely.
Loved hearing you two perform this beautiful song last night at the historic Rodgers Theater in Poplar Bluff where the Hoggs come from! ‘Til next year.
I'm learning this song and it's great to have such a nicely arranged and sung version, with clear guitar back up and lovely banjo fill-in licks. Thanks!
Lovely. Interesting how the four bar sequence (2nd phrase) that brings the emotional pull to each verse, is very similar harmonically to the segment in "Willy O Winsbury" that does exactly the same! The live TV "Set of Six" Pentangle version from 1972 being the best example, in my opinion.
One Beautiful Blessed Father and Son . Thank you. Enjoy your singing and playing your instruments always. Sincerely and Love Stephen.❤️🙏
Superb guys! Had never heard the song before but really enjoyed. What a fine voice you have young man! God bless you guys and the family! 🎶✝️🙏❤️
Still one of my favorites to listen to as I work
