Hey Taste of Trini family! Divali is quickly approaching and Matthew and I decided to share our versions of Parsad. Parsad is synonymous with Divali. It is used as an offering in Hindu pujas or prayers or it can be eaten as a snack. I hope this video was informative and educational! I'll have you all in my thoughts and prayers. Just like light triumphs over darkness, I know my fellow Trinbagonians will rise above this with resilience and strength 🙏🏽

Looks great! Def will try. The humanitarian effort being displayed by trinis is so commendable. It's really heartwarming to see all of us come together to assist. Not only home here but all over the US and Canada. I think it's safe to say trinbagonians do care and we love our twin island republic.
This is a very old traditional recipe that most people don't even know about now. Recipes have changed a bit to save time and energy. Thanks for sharing.
It's great to see the contrast between small scale and large scale parsad production. It's also fun in comparison with Matthew's version. My thoughts are with the beleaguered people of Trinidad at this difficult time. Big love!
Lovely video. I never knew how to make parasad. It's not as difficult as I thought. Will be trying this for sure. As for the situation in our lovely Trinidad right now, as bad as it is, It's heartwarming to see people put aside differences and help each other.

Hey, sorry about the late response. You can make it plain or with nuts or raisins. I know each puja requires different offerings, so it depends on what you need for the specific prayers 🙂
