Mike created his own guitar plugins a while back, and everything on this EP is done exclusively with those for the recordings. So proud of my friend. Spiritbox does creepy heavy so damn well. I’ve only gotten to see them twice, but both times were unique experiences (their second ever show, as well as last October at Red Rocks Amphitheater).
Their previous work before eternal blue was very horror influenced and heavy but this is a different kind of heavy for them I feel. This band knows what they are doing!!
She had even harsher vocals like Will Ramos type growls and gutterals when she took over lead singer duties for the band Iwrestledabearonce (which sadly gets slept on). The first album with her is harsh vocals from beginning to end. Definitely worth a check especially with the original singer she could get really low too

As soon as I heard The Mara Effect 1 around 2019, Spiritbox had me hooked. Everything they create is gold. Mara Effect 1 will always be my favorite song by them. Beautiful cleans, vicious growls and Mike is a mad scientist on the guitar. I use to love when they'd do live chats during lockdown. She was really nice to talk to, and I remember her saying she couldn't believe they had so many people that liked them enough to come chat. I called it. I said as soon as the world opens this band is gonna hit top quickly! Fk I wish I would have bet someone some significant money on that! BTW, ANKOR "Prisoner" reaction. I won't stop driving you batty about it. Lol Gonna get Twitch though. I just love getting amazing bands more recognition because they deserve it. I recommend them to every online and irl.
