- Similar to my United A320 takeoff from LaGuardia with the ATC, I've added some real-time ATC from the taxi, takeoff, and climb-out in this video.
Some transmissions didn't make it through due to the two tower frequencies being used at one tower on LiveATC (between the 17's and 16's), however, all audio is timed properly for the majority of it.
How I do it:
The way I get this audio in my videos is by finding the correct date and time of the videos I recorded, then I pull the tapes from the archives on LiveATC.net. From there, I line the audio up with the videos during editing, resulting in this kind of video!

I love watching all of them lined up. It’s like a ton of different cars trying to leave a concert.
I couldn’t have thought of a better description quite honestly
The little GA prop at the back of the line @ 4:56 is probably still waiting to takeoff 🤣✈
That 747 was flexing hard on all those other planes
Too bad it’s no more :/. I don’t think BA has resumed service here yet either.
I loved seeing the long line of planes lined up behind you waiting to takeoff especially the British Airways 747-400 at 4:48👍
I have yet to see anybody on their airplane videos show where the other airplanes are going. For example, it made the taxi to runway a lot more enjoyable because when the airplanes taking off or landing beside you , you know where they are going or coming from. i really appreciate that extra! great video.
You have really got it together, that is so awesome and we'll done, I've seen a lot of take off video's but not this complete and great coverage of all surroundings, very good job.👍✈
Thanks so much!
Man, this is a very very very well videoed flight. You did an excellent job with the video, ATC and also descriptions of passing aircraft....nice job!
Excellent video! One of the best takeoff vids I've seen in a while
Wow I counted 20 planes lined up give me a deck chair and a beer and I'd b happy as Larry to sit there all day😂
4:47 The Queen makes a cameo. ✈️
Love the a380!
Holy crap that was so cool! I wish I could be in that heavy traffic. It would be so worth it to see a 747 in person. May I ask, why was 16L only in use? I also need to fly with Southwest wifi do I can listen to Live ATC. I love listening to it and hearing my pilots make requests must be magical.
Thanks for adding ATC and departing aircraft flight ID. Great video!!!
The 1 and a half mile long line of southwest aircraft is really funny to me
Fantastic video! I fly out of DEN a lot and I’ve never seen that many planes lined up or just one runway in use for departures. I read where they were doing maintenance on two other runways which explains the traffic jam! 😉
Flying is amazing.
Miss getting on a plane in Cedar Rapids Iowa and going here and there. Love planes and flying at eighty one
Holy cow! I've never seen so many rides backed up on a tarmac before! At YHZ International, you might get one every 30 minutes(?), lol. Fantastic share, thanks👍✈
Nice to see the plane takeoff fairly well.
One of the best take off videos I've seen online. I love the angle from the flaps view, but this was perfect! Excellent job on this.👏👏👏
What a rare Denver takeoff. The planes never fly over the airport when taking off like that at DEN. I wonder why it was like that on that one day.
I think it was due to the runway closures going on that day for maintenance. First time I’ve experienced this.
I absolutely loved this!!! Why only one runway when they literally have what 3 others facing the same direction. They really needed all the others for landings due to the weather conditions??? Again really liked this video!!!
Depends on the wind.....You want to take off into the wind and land with it,you also want to avoid crosswind which can make landings and takeoffs hazardous.
Denver is known for some wicked wind coming off the mountains so that might be it,
Never in my 18 years of living or 10 years of aviation have I EVER seen DEN use 16’s for departures!! 🤯
that s odd because I am sure in all your years of living and aviation there has been plenty of times where youve had a south wind! I have landed south several times in DEN . What I don't understand is why they only used the one runway for departures!
Yeah this is serious
All those planes.... DEN really is a huge market!
3:20 look at all of those planes... crazy busy
0:18 that is one nasty storm ahead.
Yeah definitely.
Reminds of commuting down I-5 during rush hour. Wait your turn!
1:06 - There couldn’t possibly be that many planes to cause a 45 min delay!!
1:14 - Oh………..
^ my exact reaction! 😂
4:47 I miss her so much 🫡
...Dang that is a long line of planes
3:41 holly molly thats alot of 737's
Spectacular!
denver is my hope airport, keep up the great work!
It’s my hope airport too😀
@@wilcablk3605 Mine, too, as in, I HOPE to get back to Denver soon!
I counted 20 planes lined up behind you. We were behind 7 planes the other day and thought that was bad but nothing compared to this.
45 Minute wait for takeoff? Wow! Nice takeoff though!
Doing the research on this airport, I can't believe that it's twice the size of Manhattan, NY.
well Manhattan isn't that big
I never knew that Denver got that busy.
When I would have to go back and forth from SFO to Incheon was the takeoffs. Always nervous on takeoff.
I did a day trip to Denver in April 2021, and I decided to not bother with adding Denver’s LiveATC comms to the Denver videos because I hate feeds with multiple frequencies
I don't suppose you have any idea why they were only using 16L for departures do you? I've almost never seen them use that runway for departures. I can understand why they weren't using 7/25 or 8/26 given the cross-winds but I'm confused why they didn't try to spread everyone out more evenly. They have 4 north/south runways but were only using one for departures?
Interesting...at about 4:25 the tower controller didn't notice the Metro liner ahead of the SWA 737... not good!
From what I heard, the Metro didn’t have his transponder on Mode-C. Must’ve been just looking at the scope since the distance is far and hard to see from the tower for who’s next.
747 WAS IN DENVER WHAT DID I MISS!!!!!!!???
The first flight that was shown SW#664 was a direct flight to Bradley International(BDL). I didn’t think they flew direct to Denver. Good to know: Bradley is the second closest airport from me. PVD is first, but very few direct flights and I don’t like dealing with the Boston traffic.
Turns out SW doesn't serve DEN-BDL direct anymore but hopefully will return it soon! The only one that offers it is UA.
I'm hoping Breeze adds to their schedule at PVD. They're starting flights to LAX and might be expanding more. Frontier at least has seasonal service to DEN.
America on the move.
Why no information on the Key Lime Air/Denver Air Connection Metroliner?
2:37 I guess at DEN thats what ya get... a 30 minute taxi lol
Very rare but it can happen at DEN!
I see why ATC is paid the big bucks.
Hi, by hope airport you mean work there, fly as a destination? What do you mean by hope airport? Btw, look at all those planes!
I can see there was a serious storm approcung
A parade of planes.
Stupid observation perhaps, but Denver has 4 southbound runways and they should have used 17 Right as an additional departure runway
I think at the time, all runways were closed except 17L.
@@DeltaAirtran That makes sense. it does seem unusual that they have all of those runways shut down at the same time.
Temperature 36 F and ground crew wearing shorts? Doesn’t seem likely.
Wow....great vid. how did you get the ATC audio 🤷♂️🤔🙌
Talk about a conga line of planes
I've been to D.I.A but I have never seen anything like this. What exactly happened that they're using only one runway?
How did you get ahold of the ATC coms?
It's 2°C and dude is wearing shorts 🥶
Lol I feel like aviation enthusiast are some of the chillest hobbies out there ?
All that traffic and all those runways and they only have one in use for departures! Ridiculous!
Why would they only use one runway for takeoff?
From what I remember, they were doing construction on the east-west runways, and the other two east side runways were used for landing aircraft mainly.
denver gang
:28 seconds, it's 36f and my guy is really wearing shorts
He must be a true Coloradan. 👏🏼
What app or thing do you use to hear the ATC or how does that work??
I’ve explained how I make these in the description of the video.
so you over dubbed ATC?
VATSIM- Come fly with us
I really hope that I can work at Denver Tower in the near future. My Dad is a Controller, and he can guide me to the journey of becoming a Controller!!!!! (I'm 13 BTW 👍🏻😁😎)
Dveswans keep it up!! All it takes is that kind of motivation! I’ll be hearing you in the tower in a few years. 👍🏼
離陸機がめっちゃ並んどる、britishからも来るんだな😳
DON'T mess with Denver baby!!! we the best
Skywest 5206, just a note, would have been faster to drive after that taxi lol
You will get terbulsmce landing and taking off from Denver
DIA has 6 runways and all those planes waiting to take off? Seems like a waste.
When was this filmed?
March 2020
@@DeltaAirtran Before COVID or right when it happened
How do you get the live ATC?
I simply aligned it using the LiveATC.net archives and match the times with the time I was recording. Thanks for watching!
@@DeltaAirtran So cool that you can do that. Thanks for sharing!
The hell there is nothing better to do. That better thing is to refuse to submit to it!
That's the problem with Denver and others out west you people really are only using one rwy smh
For Denver's case in this video, most of the runways were closed due to maintenance or other reasons. However, when the runways are open, I think Denver is an excellent airport that utilizes all of their runways for daily operations (weather permitting).
Bus Station 😂
45 minute wait to takeoff is ridiculous honestly. Airports should be fined heavily for backups like this when they're only using a single runway for departures and have the capability to use more.
I love seeing a parade of airplane lights.
