Hi, I wanted to Thankyou and let you know that your videos really helped me in my interview. I was giving an interview after the gap of 10 years.
I came across your channel when I was preparing for my school Counsellor interview. I started watching your videos and made a few notes. I used the tips and tricks you shared in your videos and collaborated them with my own experience.

Hi, do you recommend the Rosenthal Purple Book for the Counselor exam?
Thank you for reaching out. I actually never heard of that book. All I used was quizlet, and the praxis practice exam for school counselors and that worked for me.
How many rounds of interviews did you have? In graduate school, I was taught that there will be about 3 rounds. The final one including the superintendent. I have an interview for a high school counselor position tomorrow morning.
Hello Mike, It depends on you school district, school setting being private or public school how the interview process is conducted. However for me I only had 1 interview round in all the school counselor positions I have applied for. Good luck and I pray you get the position!

Just got done a 5 question screening interview. There were 150 applicants. This field is so competitive 😩
@@mikerepace3992 yes it is very competitive! I have learned during my interviews that what’s for me no one will be able to take it! So you got this and if someone else ends up getting the position, then something better will come! Good luck :-)

These are the questions (3) I personally asked during my interview:
• As a professional educator, what suggestions (advice) do you have for a new school counselor like myself, to be successful in this role?
• Professional development is very important to me and is very important for this role. What PD opportunities are available to counselors at (blank school/district)? For example, does the district support submitting RAMP applications to ASCA?
• Based on the data and reports that are coming from the virtual learning 2020-2021 school year, are there some high-need areas our counseling services should prioritize for the upcoming school year?
