I have two atem minis and a atem tvs they are ok devices but most of what they can do or any of the atem mini versions, we could do already over 10 years ago. You still need the cams do not forget that so it is not exactly free.
Thank you very much! @54:50 you explain how to set up a lower 3rd. Following your instructions I now indeed have a lower 3rd. However, now it shows on all cameras, while I only want it only on one CAM 1 (not CAM 2). How can I do that?
Below your key on and off button there is a key button use that after your make the camera live that you want the lower third tied to. When the key is on and you select that key lower button it will follow that camera input only! Share and Like!

Wow 😊 Awesome tutorial, and I learned a lot more than I was looking for! But one question I can't rap my head around. If I would live-stream my "program" video-box trough a ethernet cable, to than connect it to and hdmi. Would it obly work with ATEM Streaming Bridge? Or could it be another brand or similar box?
The streaming bridge can receive signals from the switchers Blackmagic makes only at this time.. then the bridge can output that stream HDMI into any switcher made! You can also output from it via hdmi out to your tv or monitor. The Streaming Bridge has an HDMI out. So, if it was hooked up to your network you could stream to the Bridge from your ATEM and then see your program from the bridge to a monitor. Blackmagic has some videos on the Streaming Bridge as well. The down side is you can’t stream from an ATEM to the Bridge and to your Social Media channel at the same time. I use my ATEM MINI PRO I have to broadcast from my garage studio to my main studio then broadcast that signal as an input from my main studio Extreme ISO to RUclips. Thanks for watching!
I wish I knew more about PTZ cameras but not at all in my wheel houses. Thanks for the nice words! If it’s HDMI out it should work? Have you tried other inputs?
You only have one HDMI out and that is used mostly for Multi- View but you also can display the 4 inputs as well and the Program out. You could use the USB -C out into your computer as a web camera and use software like OBS to cast it to a second monitor or a screen cast with the right software. Or out of the computer HDMI cable to a second monitor like a projection screen. The ATEM MINI SDI model has two sei outs and that makes what you want to do easy buts they have to be converted back to HDMI. The ATEM MINI EXTREMES have two HDMI outs as well. I hope this helps. In OBS you can right click in the Program out window and choose any other monitor you have connected including the ATEM if you have you computer HDMI plugged into it. That’s is how display chat through one of my EXTREMES keys.
You can but that would record in the camera. A great Back up or a 4K Recoring you could use latter for replacement of the 1080P files the ATEM records. Also for Video Short crops. If you camera is plugged into the ATEM you can record that from the ATEM we these linmits. The ATEM Mini Pro and the ATEM Mini Extreme record only the Program out of your ATEM the ISO Modes record each input if you have it (ISO recording) enabled. Also if ISO recording is enabled you get all the inputs, the Program, Audio files, all the still images you used why you were recording and a XLM file in a folder that can be brought into DEVince Resolve latter and edit your recorded version of your Program and fix any issues and re post a better version. So you dont have to record in the camera but you can. You do have to have a SSD drive plugged into the USB C port of the ATEM to be able to record. In your Output Folder in the ATEM Software Control their is a place to enable ISO recording at the bottom and to name that recording as well. Disk staus and record button is in the Software control as well. You also have a record button and on air button on the front of the ATEM but not on the ATEM MINI non Pro or Pro ISO versions.
You would have to use the USB C to a computer and use a program like OBS ( Free online) to display through your computer to a second screen. If you purchase the ATEM Mini SDI model it has two SDI outs. The ATEM Extreme also has two HDMI outs. With an ATEM Mini: The down side is you would have to record in OBS to have a recording.
I use a power cleaner / conditioner for the ATEMS due to some hum I was getting plugged into my regular outlets. The 3.5 jacks are ok but not perfect. I did a live stream a few weeks back on how to embed audio to bypass any 3.5 jack issues. I use a HDMI to SDI 6 G convertor that also allows you to embed audio.
Yes and no. With firmware update 9.5 update or latter you can use the usb-c out and display program, preview or multi-been using something like OBS and then also have the software control open. You will not be able to record. I would always recommend an extra monitor even if your just take a small 7” monitor. Also with no headphone out you need a way to monitor the audio and many desktop monitors include a headphone out.
That is correct! That’s one of many things they fused with the Extreme line it has two USB input outputs. Use a Camlink by Elgato and split the hdmi output and set it to program and you can use that in your PC or MaC
But then i wouldn't be able to watch the other inputs simultaneously, I would only be able to watch program, is that right? sorry I'm just trying to find the right setup@@keithbennett5179
Whatever you set that HDMI Output as that is what you get.... But remember the USB - C Displays the Program so you could record in your PC with it through OBS and STream from the ATEM why you use the HDMI as a Multivie Monitor. If you have an ISO model this will not work becasue you would not be recording ISO to the disk only the Program oput to your PC otr MAC.

You are very welcome!
If I don't want to carry a monitor, the laptop can work as a monitor instead?
Hello, quick question; Since there is only one USB out this means that I cannot do ISO recording + broadcasting with the webcam method simultaneously?
I have atem mini pro
And the resulting video is very laggy regarding that my output is 4k and settings are 800 iso , shutter speed 1/50
Any idea how do I solve the lagging problem ??
Are you streaming high in the output setting folder in the ATEM Control software?
How can I use my mobile camera as one of the input in Atom mini pro?
I have Motorola 5g mobile..
It will take a adaptor from the phone port to HDMI then a HDMI cable to the ATEM. I have an iPhone 13Pro so I use a lightning to HDMI adaptor. I can also cast to my Apple TV and that also is hooked into my ATEM Extreme ISO. I like the speed of the adaptor more than using the Apple TV casting feature. I have not had a Motorola 5g so thats my best

Can this work on atem hd studio?
What exactly are you asking would work on it?
I had a problem with mix effect using Atem mini pro. I couldn’t get output of the camera in the multi view via hdmi cable. I had tried multiple hdmi cables and video settings. But no trouble in Atem software from black magic. Any thoughts?
What camera are you using?

If you have the right HDMI cable installed and it’s plugged in on both sides and your have the MV hdmi cable out plugged into a monitor. I’m not sure what the issue is. I do offer a free one hour consult if you want me to try and help in a Zoom call Monday? Are you getting a picture on the monitor?
@@keithbennett5179 oh man, thanks a lot. I would love to do zoom meeting on Monday. Thanks again 👍🏽
