Great towel rolls and tips. and i agree with Coconut about your voice. I was melting as i listened. It made it a bit hard to learn but all the more pleasant too.

Very curious! It's entirely different to how we typically set up a massage bed, at least in California. How do you go about turning your clients over without exposing them? Does the bed roll stick to their body?
Here we have a set of sheets, usually a flat and a fitted sheet, and they get changed out for every client. Our beds also tend to have fleece padding underneath the fitted sheets and an electric table warmer.

I love hearing how different therapists work, and this is basic portable bed demo to get students started and build upon from there. There have been different bed set-ups everywhere that I've taught/worked and when we turn clients over with this particular method, we hold the towels firmly, slightly raised from the body, and ask the client to turn towards us. This acts as a shield while they turn and the movement is smooth and minimally disruptive to their relaxation and the set-up.

The rest sounds pretty similar too, different sheets/towels/bed roll per client and fleece or blankets when it's cold plus optional table warmers (depending on the setting and whether there is a need and/or PAT testing for anything involving electricity). Bed roll doesn't particularly get in the way, but we don't always require it :)

@@homespabeauty can i ask you please do you find it better to use towels or light sheets for drapping over client for massage? as im finding towels that need to be lifted to massage an area is very lumpy and bumpy please could you tell me your opinion on this? thanks :)

I know what you mean & I think the only reason I find towels more convenient is because it’s what I was trained in. I like the varying sizes & you can fold & tuck them to fit the client if you make sure they’re aware of what you’ll be doing first (tucking a towel when they’re not expecting it might be awkward for some people). I’ve experienced light sheets too & there’s no problem with either.
I’d say go with where you feel most confident & then you can concentrate on your massage 👍🏻

Do you have to. Use the bed paper can you not just use sheets and towels

    • @homespabeauty

No, you don't have to use it and sheets and towels are fine. It's another level of hygiene but if you're changing the bedding completely between clients then you could do without.
