Ya I didn't use resistor for led here because this led can glow (withstand) upto 5v.From Arduino UNO the output is 5V.I hope you have understand.

even when its posible, i sugest to allways use a resistor! one of 100oHm will do it. than you have just a litle bit of protection. @@Shalakushka

Works fine but i do recommend using a resistor, some times not using 1 blows your light so uh use a resistor

Other color LEDs will withstand upto 3.5V but blue color LEDs withstand upto 5V.So for blue color LED no need of resistor.

​@@360viewplus Oh its more understandable now, and i did a bit of research turns out if you're wiring it to a breadboard you don't need resistor but if your wiring it to a batty itself you will need it

Na zdravie. Je to pekný projekt. ALE. Kde sú rezistory najmenej 200 ohmov. Lepšie 330 ohmov. Som prekvapený, že vaše Arduino nevyhorelo. Jedna LED má spotrebu 20 miliampérov, vynásobením 12 je 240 miliampérov. Arduino to nevydrží. Prajem pekný deň.
