Dear #Primus, it doesn't have to be about fancy light shows, just raw energy. I've seen a few vids and this guy has my vote for how he is having so much fun with it.
Yeah man from the videos I have seen you play with more guts and heart than the others. Your spot on and your pocket and feel are great also the pearl visions sound really nice!
Awesome Work Andy, good Luck!!Also i think that to make a cover from one of their songs isn't something that leads them to choose easier.I believe if someone find a drumless Primus song that never listen before and gives his own personality at drum part maybe this performance became a ticket to the band.
@@Jason-cm6uh i dont think so. they are a touring band. they need to be 1000% sure that the guy can deliver as written as a top prio, everything else is second. if i'd be the bandleader, i would only look at entries that are very close to the original so i have a basis for a informed comparison and chose 5 candidates. out of those, id check where they live and how professional they are/seem and narrow down to three. then i check the backcatalog of what they did before. gives you a very good idea about their creativity and musicality. out of the ones that make that round, id just choose the guys that have a similar age to me and also similar taste and discussing contract terms with them. and then as a last test is the real live band jam
@@hazardeurI agree with all of your points. I was going off what the ad said about creativity, adding to the musical coversation, and your groove. Its what they asked for. You can't really show that by just playing the written music. Playing original music/ parts is a way better display of someone's talent than copying because it shows actual talent. I know I'd be more interested as a band leader, with someone playing original music and the written music in the same song. Or two different versions of the same song(s). A drumless track would be ideal. I think the short an simple of the ad was, anybody can play parts, but can we hang out, tour, and make music together. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I got
You dragged a little bit on a couple of occasions, but overall, you were right there, really good dynamics too, good luck matey, you've done really well!

Agreed. At least "add drums". I want to see 4 bars copying, 4 bars adding drums. By adding I mean percussion/ two drummer style. Playing musically
@@Jason-cm6uhplaying musically is a first law of a musician, must be at least.
