Hello, I'm the guy that made this video, so if you've got any questions or anything like that, let me know. Thanks for stopping by and watching!

That's pretty impressive performance for the ultra graphics preset. I have a 6750 XT and I'm mainly using the medium preset, but with render quality at 80%, motion blur off and FSR sharpening at 100%. I recently toggled it on the high preset and I'm still figuring out where I want to leave it.

Did you get a chance to test out HYPR-RX on and off? On my rig [Ryzen 9 5950X with 32GB 3200 RAM, RX 7900XTX Nitro +] I found that at 4K Ultra native it would run mostly above 60fps with occasional drops to 55fps. Akila is the worst performing area where it would dip to 48fps. However when I turned on HYPR-RX, the frame rate only improve by ~8%. The frame time though was significantly better. In Akila City, It went from 22ms to about 11-15ms. I want to compare notes and see what others are getting.

Whilst it's certainly possible for sections of the game to dip below 60fps at 4k ultra, my guess would be that you was actually becoming CPU limited in these areas, and whilst CPU limited HYPR-RX wouldn't really do much to boost performance since HYPR-RX is mainly used to reducing GPU load. ~Pixel

@@SapphireTechnology Yeah that seems to be case. After asking for further feedback, I do did some more testing and had PresentMon show me what was going on. So a 5950X is unfortunately not enough to overcome the the performance issue in Akila City. It boils down to the communication is too slow and the result the GPU is waiting for about 8-12ms before it can start the next render. I am definitely upgrading to Zen 5 when it launches. "I need more power Scotty!" 😆

I have just gotten the rx 7800 xt.
Paired it with a i7 8700k and 32 ram. And on ultra, No fsr on 1440p it maxes out at 165.
Dont know if my fps counter is broken, but its smooth asf.
Came from gtx 1080. Will do a video on it probally with afterburner stats instead hehe

I think a lot of the issues with Starfield come down to Bethesda still relying an old and outdated engine. The in house game engine has always been a weak spot in Bethesda games and from what I see in Starfield they did not create a new versions, just updated the same engine they used in Fallout 4. The result is what we have now.
Your right in this is typical Bethesda gaming, with a game full of great potential releasing in a "good" game state but will not realize the potential of the game until a few patches, DLCs and Mods come out.

Love to see how Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing works on the 7800 XT

It dosent. 7800 xt ray full ray tracing in cyberpunk gave me less than 10 fps. 7800 xt does not do ray tracing well at all.

My Sapphire RX 7800XT is a stuttering mess @ 1440p event at medium settings, it’s worse than my 3070ti. Paired with i7 9700k BAR is on and 3600mghz ddr4. The 1% low as are around 14fps. It’s garbage

My 7800xt in 1440p native and ultra settings can do 60-70fps, depends at scene. Sometimes going down to 50 and sometimes to 100fps

Sounds like you snagged a defective card. I would swap it out with a new one if you haven't already.

@@whasian1487 Runs fine on other games like RDR2, Hogwarts etc, even at 4K with optimised settings. I gave up on Starfield, it’s too buggy, repetitive and boring. Complete waste of money.

@@mintsauce101I played 300+ hours of it. On my older system with an i7 7700 cpu and a rx6600 gpu at 1080p. It played fine for me. Upgraded a different system to a 5800x3d cpu and 7800xt gpu and it maintains 1080p 60fps no sweat. I moved on to other games since but if you were having that many issues running it then something wasn't set right or that game doesn't like something about your hardware. Regardless, if you're system is running other games equivalent to other systems with your same specs then sounds good enough. I'd take advantage of the warranty if your not getting fps the card should get you though.
