When you go into the bathroom don’t give him hugs or kisses or even look at him before you go in, it gives him anxiety. Just walk in and close the door. When you come out don’t cuddle him until he’s calm. Within 2~ days he should be calm because he knows you’ll be back and won’t feel anxious

Try and get him these “smart toys” where he has to figure out how to get the treat out of it, so he doesn’t get separation anxiety every time you’re about to leave him. My dog got so used to being with me, I struggled for some time, where he bit on the door etc, cause he didn’t want to be alone :( but it got better with time and these little games

Since he doesn't like it, it's helpful to put one of your shirts or something that smells like you in his crate with him :) happy dog motherhood 😂

it’s so good to see you crate training! the first few weeks determine so much & it’s so easy to forget to do these things early on in the excitement of a new puppy. I find leaving puzzles for him when you’re not in the room & not hyping him up when you get back home help reduce separation anxiety!!

My only tip I can think of rn is definitely socialize him with dogs and people as much as possible when he’s little. I wasn’t able to in the panini and my puppy is scared of everyone and everything.
