    Just found your RUclips channel a few months ago, then....no videos for a while! I guess from other comments here that you contracted Covid,....and I'm sure that it was NOT FUN. Glad to see you're still alive, and look great and have cranked out another incredibly helpful and creative Video! (Just now followed you on FaceBook, even though I hardly ever go there nowadays. Read about your Utah trip.)

      Glad we found each other! Thanks! I hardly go to Facebook anymore either. We post video releases and, if I do anything interesting, (not very often), we post that. Yeah, Covid was not fun and our vacation was the WORST. I saw a lot of Moab's ER and none of the jaw-dropping scenery. Thanks again. N

    Lovely piece Nancy. Very time consuming, but I guess could also be therapeutic. Cheers.

    Good to hear that you are doing better. Instead of a sticker that says "I got my covid vaccine", the current one should just say "I got covid".
    I love the look of this bracelet and definitely want to give it a go. I wanted to ask if you clean the jumprings after cutting, and if so what is your method? I'm thinking the lubricant would interfere with soldering.

      Good point. For some reason, I haven't had an issue with using that flaky lubricant. You could hit them with a torch and then pickle if it becomes an issue or throw them in a tumbler with some ceramic shot (add a drop of Dawn dish detergent). Thanks.
      I like your idea about an "I got Covid" sticker. I'll send it out to my friends and acquaintances, as in the past month, most of them had/have it. (I didn't give it to them! Haha). It's insane. Be well! Thanks. N

    Hi! So glad you're back! I'm a little confused on the lubrication process. I read your saw blade article on your website and have ordered the blades and Bur life you recommend. Am I supposed to put the lubricant on the blade, metal, or both? Thank you!

    • @NancyHamiltonJewelry
      @NancyHamiltonJewelry  2 года назад

      After I tape the coil in, I run the lubricant over the coil. Lubricating the blade usually requires unplugging it so you don't accidentally step on the pedal - which takes time. It works just as well, maybe even better, to lubricate the coil. David at PepeTools taught me this and they manufacture them. Thanks!

    Thank you so much. My question - why do you tumble before LOS?

    • @NancyHamiltonJewelry
      @NancyHamiltonJewelry  2 года назад +1

      Great question. It was a conscious decision because if I tumble after I liver, the patina gets shiny. I wanted shiny metal and a slightly matte patina. Thanks! N

    Love this for a bracelet. Is copper wire too soft for making jump rings? I'd think not but ...

    • @NancyHamiltonJewelry
      @NancyHamiltonJewelry  2 года назад +1

      You are right. Copper is fine. If they're soldered, there's no problem. Have fun. Nancy

    Given soldering, gotta "clean" copper wire before? Steel wool? Definitely after..lol
