I like how they did it this time, supercell noticed all the drama with players choosing the skin so they decided to include a bonus skin chosen by them. IMO, they should keep doing it like that. 1 skin from players and 1 skin chosen from supercell.

Last time Supercell picked a winner was back during the Colette campaign, and I'm sure most of us know how that went. At the same time though, yeah, why can't we have a skin that's both cool and fits the brawler. At this point Supercell Make should be called the Edgy Wars.

Francy Artist, who is a whole different can of worms, puts out his Gladiator Colette skin near the later end of the campaign, getting a small fraction of votes from the other Colette skin. Out of all the submissions, SC chose that one, either because they liked it the best or it would've been easier to make than Timeline, which led to controversy and Francy leaving Twitter. He did get a position in the Brawl Stars team but I'd be lying if I said it lasted long.

I think purple and dark colors are the most favorite for the Brawl Stars community. Because they are associated with power and greatness. After all, the elixir is purple and it is very important for the Supercell games. They generally assimilate purple color in their games, remember Squad Busters.

And people want it and the best thing is something similar, and also when supercell chose the winner themselved i caused a lot of controversy on francy's gladiator colette skin since it want even a finalist/most voted.
I recently got into Brawl Stars and chose the admiral skin. Not thinking anything about it. I was genuinely blown away how negative the post was. Don’t get me wrong, I love themes with dark colors, demons, dragons, etc. However, there are many other themes and colors that work well too like Belle admiral or toxic. I do think it’s great that people can choose who to vote for, but it kinda obvious that a lot people like dark colors. Supercell should try to stay clear from any dark themes or colors characters for awhile.
