I'm trying to get in the owner operator business, I had nlmy CDL Class A for almost a year and I'm really trying to get in the business but I'm going to wait for another year or two to get all of the information that I need to be an owner operator. Man oh man! My last trip down black mountain on January 23rd I through a rod out the side of my c15. Idk what happened but it was raining, I was doing about 45-50 most of the way down. Got to the bottom and got up to 60 and 💥 that's all she wrote. I still need to make the video on that for my channel here. 😮💨
Yikes. 45-50 is too fast down black mountain bro. Gotta keep it at or below 35. At that speed, you're going to encounter trucks in front of you going a lot slower. I try to keep it between 25-30 mph. Hopefully, you're up and running again.

But i need to criticize one thing. Nice transitions but can you try to do a transition for the audio too? Like fading out and in...
I know you need to catch up on editing and it would take you even longer to edit but it's the details that matters. ;)
Fading the background music audio or just the transitions from scene to scene?
@@presy_jay So i rewatched the video today. At the transitions 15:26 ,16:19 , 23:59 , 25:36 i got a kinda cracking sound at the cut to the next scene. I hear the crack clearly with my noise canceling headphones (even on my speakers i can hear it). It is hard to discribe. Maybe there is a tiny gap between the audio tracks from each scene... I even found a change of scene without a transition effect with a little crack sound but it was not that major to list it. So it is definetly not every transition. And btw the music is totaly fine in every situation. ^^
I hope you can relate to what i mean cause i listed the timestamps.
@ArtiSentinel I understand what you're saying. I do hear it when I'm editing also. I edit using my bluetooth speaker on a high volume, so i do hear it. I'll look into a way to eliminate it. I am still working on improving my editing.

No. Once you leave the shipper, it's your responsibility to go get weighed at the closest scale. 99.9% of the time, shippers don't have a scale. Only a few have a scale on site. Depending on how far you've made it, you can go back and have them remove some of the product (to reduce the weight). Most truckers will just keep it pushing and try to dodge the scales.

Pay out of pocket and you’re a free agent. The company puts you through school, you’re restricted (gotta stay) with them. Btw, most companies wouldn’t train you in a manual truck. Get trained in a manual.
