I was reading about this and came to see if there was footage…blood red snow, German soldiers war diaries of Stalingrad, they knew this meant the soviets were moving stuff round and trying to cover the noise, it also preceded a katyusha attack, which made it more terrifying
Currently reading antony beevors book about battle of stalingrad. He describes how the soviets literally played a ticking sound and announced that every seven seconds a german soldier dies. The book is hard to read because of vividly he describes the horrors of what went on there
Song and lyrics writen by Alberto Aureliano Novión and Horacio Mackintosh and of course sung by Carlos Gardel in 1922 However, this version doesn't seem to have Carlos Gardel's voice, just orchestra
Every seven seconds a german soldier dies. Stalingrad - massgrave
I could see why they played this to demoralize the germans now... this is actually terrifying

Oh, playing tango is so cruel! The Soviets should have offered a five o'clock tea for a guests.

@@RooftopKoreanstalingrad 2 nowadays would be worse than the original battle of stalingrad
Tango argentino ,no se porque sera pero siempre damos nuestro aporte a la humanidad ,sera por eso que nuestros hermanos menores nos detestan tanto..
