the driveway is almost finished :) I think that small window was just to have some natural light for the stairs, I would have left it at least small enough to no let a human enter. great job!

I really liked the window, I'm not clear why you filled it in. It was interesting to watch, however. The window added light and character to the stairwell, a feature not often seen going into a basement. This change made me a little sad, but it's your house, and you have your reasons.
I think it will be better if you put glass bricks. This way you seal the window and you have daylight.
