People say the drums are hard and when I tried it for the 1st time, I surprisingly got it quickly and it was pretty easy to me. Maybe it's because I got lessons from our music club and I was very interested in the drums. Usually you learn it faster and is easy to you if you are actually very interested in learning the instrument.
Heres the thing, I'm a flute player, but I see how hard being a percussionist is because I am in a big advanced (honor) band. The percussionists have to do more than one instrument,be bouncy and whatnot, 12th and 16th notes and even more which look and sound difficult, and standing most of the class/performance. Oof

10:30 well, yea obviously. im taking percussion right now in my middle school band, but what sucks is that the metal xylophone thingies (they're called the bells btw) are still things we have to do and we rarely get to play snare, (well normally we do, but we just had a concert where we played a lot of snare there and the teacher wants us to be fluent in the songs on the snare and the bells and most of us played the bells, so sometime i'd play the music really well on snare and have a fun time while doing it, but it'd have been for nothing because i had to play bells the entire time! typically it bounces back and forth of what we practice. normally at the start of the year, this is my second year playing in band btw, we play the bells, and then when the teacher gives us the music for the concert, we play that on snare and then when we have like a week before the concert starts, he has us start playing the songs on the bells, because we both know at the concert, there are going to be way less people on snare than on the bells so we all need to know how to play the songs on the bells and then in the case we get moved to bells, we'll be set and ready to play. then after the concert, we're back to bells and it's really annoying to play,) only these like really annoying jock kids got to play them because they're actually assertive and actually bother asking the teacher if they can play, (lol definately not me.) im only saying their annoying btw because they hate me, personally, i don't think they're that bad. what was the point of this, o yea that thing where you let the stick bounce off of the drum and it makes that cool vibrating sound is called a roll. one thing i don't think is fair is how this one kid in our class started playing since he was 4 he's really good at percussion, so he basically has no reason to be there other than to play the drum set because he's the only one who knows how. i don't hate him, but i just don't understand why he's in our class. we have enough people on bells and he already knows everything he needs to know about percussion. well, yea. i guess it was required you pick either theatre, band, or chorus, and he basically did the right thing. he's also really good at soccer and it's really fun to play with him and other people who have a stronger passion for it than i do.
Ah yes the teenage/kid years of my life ( still experiencing these years but it's almost over ). I was totally confused, and angry at everyone during these years and although I was a pretty closed minded child, that doesn't mean I didn't try new things. One of my fave experiences was when I broke most of my ribs from trying horseback riding. Or that time almost broke my vocal chords trying to sing Bohemian Rhapsody for a school talent show. Or that time I played a guitar so bad my finger bled so much that I almost passed out. Moral of these stories are you should never try anything or else you could seriously hurt yourself.
If you’re wondering where the gag of the ball hitting James in the face, it’s probably from another video where he mentions a time when he was playing kickball and got hit in the face twice.
My mom made me do ballet when I was 4 y/o ! Pretty nice until I got an old grumpy strict teacher the 2 year and I never did it again. Thought I remember fondly the time when I was supple enough to do "the basket", which consisted of laying on your tummy, grabbing your ankles and bending your back, then rolling back and forth gently like a banana. I liked to do "the moon" too because I felt gracious and pretty doing it. It was just sit on the ground, the sole of one foot against your thigh, the other turned outward, keeping your posture straight and curving your arms, one above your head and the other down to your stomach's level :)
