You, Me & the RV
20 years ago we went to Branson before all the Branson Landing development happened. I walked from the old downtown area towards the river and I came upon something really cool: the long-abandoned Sammy Lane Resort. Not sure if any of it is still standing, but it turned out that exploring it was the most fun we had.
We are Missouri natives and our homebase is in Joplin, MO. We had season passes for our sons the first 5 years after we moved to Joplin in 2001…it’s incredible fun for all! Uranus is a blast 😂😂😂
Oh my gosh...my wife and I stayed at the ABC two weeks ago. We must have been there about the same time as you. Branson is a lot of fun for people of all walks of life.
We really enjoy The Petersons Bluegrass band there. We watched them all during Covid on RUclips. They are a military family that their dad put together when he was in service.
3:53 80 million visitors. Branson certainly is a popular tourist destination, but I think they get about 10 million visitors each year! Thanks for your great videos!!
Right. We didn't catch that in editing. Oops! Our mind thought it, our ears didn't catch it.
I thought the same thing, 10,000,000 visits
Ya'll did good. Branson is a special place. It has activities and shows for everyone of all ages.
I'm glad ya'll didn't have to apologize for anything, there's nothing to apologize for there. If someone goes to Branson and does not enjoy themselves, get to a Dr. there is something wrong with you. The only problem I see with being there, ther just isn't enough hours in a day or night.
Thank ya'll for taking us along with you.
God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels.
We were in Branson in 2021 and didn’t care for it at all, but after seeing your video, I think we missed the good stuff. Thanks for the video with another perspective on Branson.
Live about 90 miles west of Branson, haven't been in several years, younger daughter and husband go a lot. When I was a kid, Silver Dollar city was a free. The cave was the attraction.
I am definitely give this a try! Steve
We LOVE this A. B. C. rv park! So glad you found it too!!! So much fun 🤩
My mom, daughter and I used to go there every year. It was perfect for a 60 year age spread. There was something for everyone. My mom (a nurse for 50 years and also marine wife) has knees that are shot and no longer can make the trip. I miss it honestly but feel like it is wrong to go without her. She loved the shows like Andy Williams which we surprisingly really loved also!
Andy Williams is closed now
Nice video on Branson!. Top of the Rock (golf cart tour-owned by Johnny Morris Bass Pro) is awesome in the fall to see all the trees change colors. They also have an awesome Native American museum there.
If you get an extra hour, hah!, drive to Springfield for the Bass Pro Shop Aquarium.. not just fish!!
They have about 8 COE campgrounds Right on Tablerock Lake. They are beautiful with almost all sites on the water. 50 amp and water on site. Only 11$ with a NP senior pass. The true beauty of Branson is the area. Not the plethora of tourist traps
Love Mill Creek. They stay open until end of October
Just returned from our newmar Branson rally at ABC campground. They really are phenomenal and the WiFi even works great! The meals they served were awesome. Branson is a busy place!
We agree!
I love Branson. Right there in the Ozarks beautiful. Yall keep bringing these beautiful videos and sharing with us. Thank you and stay safe
Thank you! Will do!
Yay! Glad you enjoyed Branson. I am a long time fan of yours and instead of hitting the road for retirement this year we sold the RV and moved to Branson. I want to invite you to come see us the next time you visit at Branson Christian Church. I am the new pastor. A warm welcome awaits. ❤
On top of the rock every night at sunset blows the cannons, its absolutely beautifuld
Love Branson! Couldn’t see everything and can’t wait to go back!
My wife and I have been work camping in another park in Branson last year and this year. Have been vacationing here for 40 years and love it. If you can’t find anything in Branson that you love, you’re not really trying. Some people are just fuddy dudds like that.
Silver dollar city rocks. The last time I was there, I was amazed at how short the roller coaster lines were. They had 6 roller coasters, and the majority of the people in the park were too old to want to ride. Leaving very short lines. It was great.
Oh, how did we not knowxyou were in our neck of the woods! Branson is fun!! I'm so sorry we missed you! I hope we can catch up with you soon!!
Our favorite ride was the Runaway Mountain Coaster!!!! We stayed at the Branson Shenanigans RV Park!!! It was great!
My aunt and uncle used to live in Branson. We went there many times! Silver Dollar City decorates for Halloween and Christmas and it is worth the trip! Gorgeous and thousands of decorations. Glad you had a great time!
We love Branson and only live a couple of hours away in Arkansas so it''s convenient for us too 😊👍
Oh we love that place!!
Looks like a great place to visit. When we are able to travel more, we'll be joining the crew.
Please do!
😊😊😊
Uranus and lake Titicaca always got giggles when I was in school.
I see why!!! LOL
that golf cart path is awesome especially the cave bar
Definitely looks like ALOT of fun! Need to add it to our list of places to visit.
Branson is 30 Min south of me love Dicks 5 -dime always a unique store, Branson is a great town lots of neat things to do steal your dollar city is best in the winter during Christmas Branson is a big Veterans city too on Veterans Day lots of activities for veterans
We have been full time for a little over a month, living about 2 miles from downtown Branson. We absolutely love it here
We travel and live in Hollister. Great area for retirement and travel
@@ulrikehayes5186 we're at escapees turkey Creek which is technically Hollister but only 2 miles from downtown Branson
Once again another fantastic video!
We all love watching them, but most have no clue how much time you had to spend editing them to make it this good.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!
Stayed at ABC as well. It was also very hot. Enjoyed the pool. Staff were very nice recommending and booking shows
Sorry can't get past the movie "Vacation" when the Griswalls were staying in the Wagon trail cabins on the way to Wally World...Cant go there.
Thank you for sharing your travels! Please come visit us in Galena, Illinois
Went there once, that was enough. My niece said it best “ Branson is where old people take their parents “.
Now that is funny!!!
We went to Branson a few years ago. I totally agree that you cannot see nor watch everything in a short few days or even a week.
We just went there couple of weeks ago, again . We went to Lambert's in Ozark, Missouri .
We have been to Branson for yearsssss. I rather go to The Smoky Mountains or some other State.
This year we went out West on route 66 ( 9 States ) , Then time later went to Northeast ( 7 States )
After that went to Texas ( Christmas Store , Decorator Warehouse ) . 10,000 Miles .
The most we have ever traveled in 6 months, everrrrrr.
You guys are great! I've been watching since the beginning (we sold everything and hit the road a little while after you guys did) and just saw you over on Nikki Positano's channel!! AND I leave for Italy tomorrow! We travelled through the US and Mexico last spring and though we didn't bump into you; never say never:) We live in Puerto Vallarta in a condo and Ontario Canada in a camper van!
That is fantastic!! We are so excited for you guys! Italy has been an amazing trip for us. We hope it is just as magical for you guys!
We will be visiting Uranus Fudge Factory June 2024. Looking forward to another check off the old bucket list. We will be there just after our CVMA National Meeting in Rochester, MN.....which will give me a good excuse to visit the Spam Museum in Austin, MN, again.
Went in May, it's awesome! Wisconsin Dells after in June, also awesome!
I didn't know you was in my state. How cool!
I’ve been to Branson several times andhave gone back with the grandkids. It’s okay, there is lots to do but the traffic can be horribly congested. My wife has been a couple of times recently with groups and enjoyed the shows. Silver Dollar City was a lot of fun with the grandkids. I have no intention of returning, however.
That was a funny video that place looked fun ! Good job !
There is also a Uranus in midstate Indiana that has a fudge factory
We’re going to have to go there.
My wife grew up in that area…lots of weird and interesting things…..If you go near Rolla, MO…Best Pizza I’ve ever had is at Alex’s Pizza….great stuff👍🏻..also, Lambert’s in Sikeston, MO…Throweed Rolls….fun restaurant….
I can't catch the rolls so asked and she brought me one on a plate.
I hope to get there in the new RV in the next 2 years
Fingers crossed you get the RV sooner!!! It is a great lifestyle.
Got the RV last month, planning short trip first . Encore 375Rb and also downloaded your checklist to get it right……. ruclips.net/video/_fGu2ajA270/видео.htmlfeature=shared
We were in both of those place at the beginning of Oct. We laughed like a couple teenage boys the whole time.
Just spent the weekend there unfortunately no camping this time. Lots of great camping there to include state parks.
I can't say I share your enthusiasm for Branson. When I got acquainted with Branson it was this sleepy little town with great trout fishing below the dam and bass fishing on the lake. Needless to say that's not the case any more, but it's probably a whole lot better for the people that live and work there. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
That is awesome!
You really want to see how patriotic Branson is, be there Veteren's day weekend!
Never been there. Still too many national parks and trails I haven't been to
I love your videos! Mainly because you show places that are out in the country and off of the beaten track. I have a Class C and since I drove through Huston in 2022; I hate cities! 😅
I never considered going to Branson but now it's on my bucket list. The mountain coaster ride looks like fun. I guess that I'm just a RT 66 roadside attraction kind of old fart. LoL
Safe travels to everyone!!!
Branson is defiantly a blast. The patriotic show at Branson Landing is awesome. The Peterson's show is worth the money...
Great video but on several of your recent videos your voices go quiet, then loud, then quiet. Would suggest some clip on remote mics just so that we don't have to keep turning the volume up and down. Keep up the great work.
Yeah, we have been having a little trouble but hopefully it has been taken care of! Thanks so much!
Looking at the world largest belt buckle might be just a "waist" of time.
LOL
@@todayissomeday Glad you laughed
Just saw you on Nikki Positano. awesome 🇨🇦❤
Isnt she amazing! We were so lucky to have been able to meet and chat. And lunch.....delicious!
You were in my neck of the woods. Bern every place you were visiting, except the ABC. Will go there are next short trip. We live about 2 hours from branson. Great video, as usual, guys. You guys missed our favorite the Dixie Stampede, or did you hit hat earlier? Hope to see you on the road!!
We didn't see it this time.
Oh yeah, you have to go. It is a great time with animals, show while you eat!!
Where is the golf cart course? We heading to Branson later this month. Grandkids would love them!!
Top of the Rock......we hope! LOL
Great episode, nice job showcasing Branson, we have been going there for 10 years and every year we find something new and different to do. We always make sure to see The Petersens Bluegrass Family Band in concert at the Little Opry Theater. They are so entertaining and multi-talented. A person could spend days listening to all the music they have uploaded to their RUclips channel......
Glad you enjoyed it
Totally agree. Just saw them.
You had to planet that video the one for Uranus. Just had to get me a funny in besides you guys funny stuff
check one two, check one two...audio check
I have an unrelated question: what RV school did you say you went to? I’m looking into RV/trailer life and want to make sure I’m fully prepared. Thanks!
I definitely appreciate all your videos and insight!
I'm new to RVing also. I bought a great set of DVD's from the RV Repair Club. They cover everything an RV'er needs to know about their rig. I may sell the RV someday but I'll keep the DVDs. LoL
National RV Training Academy. They are located in Athens, TX
@@todayissomeday thanks! Does it only cover RVs, or does it cover travel trailers, as well?
When was this video material taken? I thought you just got back from Canada.
End of August 2023. Our videos are behind a couple of weeks.
You should see it at Christmas
We plan too!
What has Branson mo go to do with Route 66 nothing
Now living in Texas. After living in SW Mo for (too many…I mean SOO many) years, I have to say Branson infrastructure itself in poorly managed, and outgrew itself before the city fathers had time to keep up with its growth. On the other hand, the surrounding parks, countryside and area is gorgeous. Still love Silver Dollar City, the Passion Play. You can have the rest, like the shows, tourist traps and such. Other than the places I have mentioned, I have no interest in seeing, or driving through, again.
I'm sure it's a very different perspective living in or near Branson versus just coming through for a visit. The surrounding parks and lakes are absolutely gorgeous!
@@todayissomeday Absolutely! Every time someone in the family suggested a “run” to Branson, I basically winced with apprehension. But yes, for a visitor not living around there, it can be fun, like Disneyland. I find Eureka Springs, Ark., much more interesting, laid back, relaxing. And yes, the Ozarks are gorgeous Spring through fall.
Yes, most definitely agree with you about Eureka Springs. We preferred it to Branson.@@sunnycharacter
@@kathykeene2092 It was only 25 minutes from our home when we lived in SW Mo. I took our daughter’s engagement photos there. And the best photo is her and her fiancé (now husband) sitting in with mounds of colorful tulips behind them, on the grounds of the famous Crescent Hotel! Such a fun town! The “Little Switzerland of the Ozarks”!
Where did you do the golf carts? I'm in Branson at least once a year and would be interested in doing that.
Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail
Thank you for responding, love your channel. My Dad was a Seabee so Go Navy!
@@todayissomeday
631 Days NO coffee or caffeine today
👍🇺🇲
YAHOO|. Air Force beat Navy.
Too soon! LOL
I have to say that it sounds like you got a few extra dollars from the Branson tourism department. Which is fine, but you should probably say as much.
We didn't get a dime from them. This was OUR opinion on what WE encountered.
Fair enough. I do like most of your vids, but quite a bit of this one felt like a ad to me is all I'm sayin. @@todayissomeday
This sure looks like a commercial,..........NOT an "honest opinion".
So sorry. I don’t believe 80 million people go there every year. Fact check?
She meant 8 million......slip of the tongue. Neither of us caught it in editing.
The big problem with Branson is tourists.
We have been to Branson 3 times and love it. Not only so patriotic but so friendly and welcoming.❤️❤️❤️
We love Branson. Table Rock lake is just beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching!
Welcome to Missouri Ozarks! Hope Phil was able to catch a Springfield’s Cardinals’ Farm Team.
Love Branson… we are a couple hours away up at Rolla. Love Top of the Rock, 5&dime. Landing..
Something for everyone at Branson. "Someday" my husband and I may RV to there.
We were in Branson Sept 14-23. We missed you!
We stayed at ABC ( America Best Campground ) too
We had good weather 70s - 80s. No rain the whole stop
We loved Top of The Rock.
The museum was excellent
I love this area, sight and sound is my favorite. God bless my Branson. We're moving to that area
Another great video. My wife and I are both retired military (30yrs) and just started the RV life after living on our sailboat for several years. Subscribed
Welcome aboard! Thank you for your service!
I been to uranus fudge factory, I had so much fun.
Great video! My favorite is the go carts!
We went for a weekend and now you convinced me I need to go back. I stayed in a time share in the mountains that had the best view.
