Huge shoutout to this page for not only doing unbiased reviews but for saving me $103.00 on my two new Genesis's I just ordered. ( my wife is going to be pissed, I literally have a collection of over 20 bats right now. )
I’m like that with baseball bats lol no adult baseball leagues around though so its just bp with friends don’t know much about side ball leagues tho but who knows i might but some slow pitch bats too if i ever decide to join a league
Wifey just gives me the look… another one! When I’m not playing, I take her w/ me for bp, catch, etc… she enjoys it. She used to play softball in middle/High school. Softball is a way of life!
for anybody curious, just ordered one and it's on sale right now for $260, and the BATBROS discount code knocks off another $52 then it's $15 standard shipping which brings the total to $223 which is a pretty solid deal for a $300 2022 bat.
I got this bat when it first came out and after several rounds on the tee to break it in, I hit my 2nd, 3rd and 4th tournament home run in the same tournament. I'm a skinnier guy that usually goes for the doubles or singles but this bat is a game changer for me. Sheeeeeeesh.
I'm the only guy with one of these at my local ball park. I have the sanchez version... it's not gonna take long for everyone else to start buying them. Now that I got it broken in, its hitting shed shots all day
Holy Cow this bat is hot. Just got mine in last week and hit it in league for the first time last night. Head and shoulders above every other bat on the market. And with your discount code it's a steal. Was swinging the worth krecher. It is now a great 250 paper weight. Maybe I'll file down the handle and turn it into a big ass letter opener.
Due to your video/review I found this bat NIW. I'm 54 and not a power hitter but I hit 2 ridiculous bombs in my first 10 swings. This bat is ridiculous, hard to believe its a 240. I love the thin handle and pyramid taper.
Just ordered this bat as it finally came back in stock while I was looking for a new bat. Adding it to my south beach and becoming a pure Louisville lover again.
Definitely a great 240 bat. Do you plan to make a video explaining the different types of softballs you use? It seems like there's about half a dozen or so and I think people would really like to know which ones you use for certain times and why. Thanks
embarrassed to say, ive watched dozens of videos and didn't realize till today you were local...love playing at Delta and hitting the streets or flying 99e from westmoreland
i just got all 3 of the models in 25 ounces....the end weight on all three were 16.1 for balanced, 16.9 for Sanchez model and 16.9 for the Purcell....so from my 3 bats i got, the purcell and sanchez are the same weighting although the Purcell was supposed to be heavier on the end but it's ok for me....not sure if 26, 27, 28 weigh out that same but don't be afraid of going with Purcell if you are worried about the extra end weight, they weighed the same on the end for me in the 25 ounce model....i like the color of the white and red anyway, so it is a win-win for me...i weigh all my bats the same way regardless of brand and it can really open your eyes to how different manufacturers load their bats....not all bats are created equal!!!!
Duddeee the Geny is a damn beast too if yall can swing that one. It's a heavier load, think they call it a "Powerload" and it's just gas man. I was in love with the Louisville Z1000's and went to demarini/worth but now this Genesis is just a god of a bat my lord. I feel like having all of them in the bag lol.
@@Thebatroller Yeah I didn't say they were better because I personally haven't tested the Z1000's enough but from the one I had vs the Geny, The Geny feels better " for me". Exit Velo is 100% better. My Z1000 died after about 400+swings, pop isn't as good. I'm well past 500 with the Geny and it just seems to get hotter.
How is the weighting feel with the .75 oz end load? I was going to lean toward the Sanchez bc of the .5 oz end load but I love the look of the Purcell more.
bought this bat the beginning of last season, the guys on our team are thinking this bat may need more time to break in as we used it for the first full season last year and it dosent seem to have the same pop as a 2019 miken dc41 we have been using, thoughts on this? The Miken has a great sweet spot and feels like it has a fantastic tramp effect and seemed to come alive this year... is the miken a better bat or do we need more hits to break this one in? any advice would be appreciated on breaking it in . thanks should mention..im thinking its gotta have 300 hits on it just a guess.
Hands down the hottest bats 😜 I love my Tyler marshburn bat I blew mine up last year it was a 26.5 and just bought the 27.5 marshburn can't wait to swing it
Question: It's my understanding that this bat has a .75 ounce end load. Does it feel like that or does it seem to swing more like a lighter ounced end load?
Louisville Sluggers hit a lot better in cold weather more so than other bats (IMO). Not sure how cold it is there but you do have on a hoodie (I'm thinking 60 degrees or below). When you test another bat it has to be the same temp and the balls have to be the same temp to get an accurate feel, review, or comparison. Worth Sports performed scientific studies on temps and ball compression; their data is interesting. Balls were tested at 72 degrees, and they found that for every 1 degree lower, the compression changed by 5lbs. So moving down the scale from 72 degrees, a ball would perform better and moving up the scale, it would perform worse. How much distance is added? IDK but I do find in really cold weather a flick of the wrist with my SuperZ sends the ball over 300ft.
I love your guys’ baseball bat videos, havent swung since 2012 after i stopped playing in HS And you guys got me back into hitting baseballs with friends on our off time… Been looking at your softball videos and seeing some games on the softball fields next to us as we do BP, never played slowpitch or anything but this makes me wanna join a league i like team environments and playing in leagues, brings me back to the good old daya xD
I have both. The black APG is ridiculous! The ap2g is the same if not hotter imho… The APG is my fave, so it’s hard for me to go against it! But if I had to chose… I’d probably pick the ap2g. This bat is disgusting. For all those out there that don’t have one. You won’t be disappointed.
Love the Channel man. Your reviews helped me choose my last couple bats. Was wondering if you had a chance to swing the 2022 blue geny power load and had any opinions on it.
It is all the same barrel no matter what nat you get, just different paint jobs...they just put in heavier end caps and lighter knows depending on what bat you get
Honest opinion is there much of a noticeable difference in performance in the 240 bats and 220 bats? I've heard lots of ambassadors say there isn't much of a difference but looking for an unbiased opinion lol. Worth noting that where I'm at pretty much all leagues and tournaments only use Hot Dot balls, which I believe are .52/275. All in all How much of a difference will I notice between the 240 and 220 bats?
With good balls, yes. If you are up in Canada and all you hit is .52/275 Hot dots, the difference is minimized a fair bit. Those balls are more about how you hit them than what bat. I have a bucket of "fun" balls: Dudley Thunder advances, ZN's, Gold Dots and Platinum dots. With those balls, the differences between bats (240 or otherwise) is much more pronounced. Hitting my bucket of hot dots brings everything back into the same range (within 3-4 mph, give or take) when using my pocket radar.
What's the endload difference between the APG and the Sanchez? Looking to compare these vs the 240 Ryan Harvey Krecher which dominated for us last season.

I have the Sanchez and I've put a lot of swings on it in the cage and at BP, but it still doesn't feel broken in. Anybody else's genesis take A LOT of swings to break in?
Keep in mind that these are still 240-stamp bats and they're going to plateau around 240-250 compression. It's not likely that anything is going to really feel like a broken-in 220 ever again :/

Probably a heavier old alloy or steel bat
How about some slow pitch wood bat reviews ?
I know you hit all different balls. In the weather your in wouldn’t the compression be way higher cause of how cold it is?
yeah the colder the weather is, the harder the balls get. That's why we never hit stadiums and we frequently mix in 52's.
