One of best black metal albums of all time. It's truly represents the indigenous struggle in these lands. A hail from a remaining kariri indian member.
Watch an interview on him. He’s not a big fan of being called Indigenous black metal, he feels Indigenous black metal is more about oppression and “playing victim” (his words). He classifies this project as prideful before anything. That’s why he’s playing these Glorious riffs in what sounds like the Sweltering sun!
I don't recall calling it indigenous black metal, plus "indigenous black metal" for me means war, and not oppression. Since I'm a Katarist, I don't see my race as victim, I understand we are still at war, and through the war is the only way to free ourselves, just like our ancestors did. My tribe made the the biggest indigenous war against the brazilian colonial government, so, total respect.
@@Sorrowfulshadow Yeah sorry the way I worded that was kinda bitchy. Didn’t mean for it to sound like an attack, was just trying to add some info. But all that matters is how it makes you feel!
@@Sorrowfulshadow you arent in any war, words are nothing. Complaining about way you are treated sounds like that's playing victim. It's okay to be proud who you are but don't pretend being someone you aren't.
the opening riffs to songs 4 and 5 are so fucking incredible, so evocative, this guy has created such a singular style of black metal , insanely talented. really looking forward to the new split with Ifernach, two of the best in the game- thats a dream split up there with kommodus/trha
I must say that almost every single native black metal band I've heard so far rips the fuck out of any of the Norse bands I previously hailed as kings of all metal!! I've always really dug BEASTING OUT TO DARKTHRONE MAYHEM BURZUM IMMORTAL ON AND ON . BUT THESE INDIGINOUS BANDAS ARE WAAAYY MORE RAW AND PRIMITIVE,HAUNTING AND MURDEROUS THAN THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED!!! ESPECIALLY THE POWWOW CEREMONIAL SACRIFICIAL DRUMMING INTROS ! AND THE WIND INSTRUMENTS ADD A VERY UNIQUE TWIST TO IT ALL!!!:HAIL FUKKIN DARKNESS!!!💀🌚
@@bastardwhoreson All the lyrical themes, names, are mexicana and indigenous nationalism. It being tied to a particular euro based genre means nothing.

@Balamku Records wow ok...i just wanted to know what other bands you were in because i liked them and forgot the names. How the hell is it "nosy" to ask band names? If you dont want people to know, you couldve just not replied. And yes, i agree it is about the music and not about the individual at all. If that were the case id write off this project and any other bands remotely involved cuz youre apparently a huge prick.

One my favorite albums as of late. Some songs immediately grab you, while others grow on you. Can't say enough good things about it.
This is the best new black metal I've heard in the last year at least!
This rules. Never heard of the band before. Thanks for posting

Album of the year.
The beginning of "Wounds of Flint and Obsidian (Ilztepetl)" sounds like "Once Upon a December" from the animated film "Anastasia".
