Starting at 2:42:00 Ayiza mentions some way for the community to organise events. That's a great idea, I feel some clans already do this themselves. My clan has skill of the week every other week, lots of different events from high level bossing to no requirement needed scavenger hunts and even a clan bingo for achievements.
Getting some form of platform to expand that would be very cool, and you'd have events and things running constantly.

    • @lukebrommage2420
      @lukebrommage2420 4 года назад

rs3 actually does something like that, just a small window that shows certain events that clans are running, think it'd be a good addition to osrs too

I love these interviews, a jmod point of view I would love to hear more about is what was the feeling of the mods during the release of EoC? Was the massive negative reaction anticipated, or did it catch you guys off guard? I remember befor EoC launched there was a lot of excitement, which turned to rage and frustration immediately after launch.

Love the perspective where the wildy got ruined by the polypore staff for Ayiza while he was running around with the korasi spec :D
For me it was vengeance and torso's lmao
    * Also on the topic of tick manipulation, yeah we figured some of that out around 2004-2005 to make pvm easier. Iron dragons were great practise when they came out.

Also, the stream where you killed the bird while that guy was cutting teaks. That was srsly one of the best moments in old schools live streams. Atleast for me. I was dying laughing at the time and I still go back occasionally to rewatch that clip. The player who came up and killed the bird after you and said "sit kid." Lmao always gets me. I didn't know that inspired a bunch of people to start doing that though. I'm sorry to hear that caused stress to you. I get it, I would as well in that situation. But from a player at the time. Was one of my fav memories of you on stream hahaha.

Hey, I´ve seen most of your interviews. There always seem to be random Windows sounds in your stream about 1 to 5 times. Should be an easy fix and production value improvement if you fix those. Love your content anyhow nonetheless :)

Hi it's Khayos here, the guy whose bird you accidentally punched.
Just wanted to say that my post on reddit was intended to be there for entertainment value in the scope that in the moment, trolling me by killing my bird was absolutely hilarious but only because it was done by a jmod. At the time personally I didn't realise how some members of the community would react to this, and I wasn't aware that it was a bannable offense for a player to grief tick manipulators.
Although we've talked briefly about it, I am sorry if posting the clip came across as being ignorant towards you, so in hindsight I regret posting (yes Shauny that was my post :P), and I didn't realise that you lost sleep on it so I am sorry to hear that!
Only happened to find this podcast cos my friend told me about it, I still loved the podcast though will watch more of them now :)
P.S. Might pm you this message too

It’s a bannable offense to kill a bird so another player can’t tick manipulate? Seriously?
Banning players for that is a way more severe asshole thing to do than “harassing” players who tick manipulate

  • @suffer8318

MTX aint going to happen, nice joke Ayiza. Hate to break it to you & everyone but once the game becomes irrelevant enough and the Chinese owners/shareholders feel it's run its course they'll try to implement MTX to get as much off it as they can from the people who cant help themselves to move on.
The point i'm making in regards to what Ayiza said, the poll booth in the game and jmods don't really have any say no matter what the "team" or "players" say. When the Chinese stock holders decide they want it in the game it'll happen and they don't care who it pisses off.
The biggest problem with this game is the poll booth. The community is pitted against eachother and good updates get deleted because it's not something one part of the community like and anymore the PvP community is hated on because most people are ironman or PvE sided as theirs too infrequent updates to PvP. I am by no means a PKer but that's what i've seen personally from friends of mine. Theirs also way too much streamer influence as well as reddit being the forefront of ideas when theirs many other means of social media and even the official forums.
Your streaming career only got started because you were a JMOD. You didn't have to work that hard to become a full time streamer either and go through the hardships most have to. If you did this any other way you wouldn't be one unless you put in the hours and it was a passion to do in free time. So many people could do the same thing you did but not having that exposure as a JMOD prior to streaming you would've had to find a job not just hope and pray you made it. Regardless if it worked out or not you had a huge advantage over your average Joe like myself to become a successful streamer.
