My boyfriend and I watch your long recording on RUclips every day with our evening cup of chai. Sometimes we decide to watch the news, and then within 3mins, switch to your recording.
I don’t have a question per se but just wanted to remind you and most good comedians like Naveen, Kanan etc. that you are doing a very important job. In the shit hole of a world that we’ve created, people can turn to you for a laugh. And in those moments of laughing, literally forget about all the bad things in life. So thank you!

This is for the first time I am reading comments on RUclips (call me jobless) and finding it very interesting. I should start reading comments instead of watching the videos. Might save me some time. However, I must say that this is very disappointing. Where is the "online hate" that I heard of? Don't be so nice guys.

Since the time I have started to follow Kenny's work my boyfriend doesn’t seem to be interested in him.
And he is the same guy who was proposing to go Kenny's show when Kenny was somewhere around Vancouver. Back then I had minimal idea who Kenny Sebastian was. Tables turning, the world is burning.

@@KennySebastian next time Naveen and you discuss Bollywood movies, just make sure that you pay extra attention to whether one actor is actually reacting to what another one is saying in a conversational scene or if he is just using the other's lines as his own cue. I find this to be the biggest problem in hindi cinema and I feel Naveen would agree with me since he shares my cynicism for Bollywood. Great video nonetheless..

Can we have more of Naveen Richards on simple ken. Its a breather to find a show that genuinely deals with middle class issues and the day to day conundrums that stem from our upbringing. Also, it was nice to hear the chirping of birds given i live in a room with no windows.

You really are one of my favourite comedian and I only watched comicstaan cause of you . The day you posted the first simple ken episode , I was very down that day but when I watched your video I cried while laughing . You really never fail to make me laugh .idk how but whenever you post on RUclips , I was sad at the beginning of the day but it ends with a smile . I feel like simple Ken was a great decision you made. And you know what the production on this video is great cause the background is gorgeous and idk how this(as in production and editing) works but I do know it's alot of work and effort to do it so I really want to say thanks for doing that and for really making me laugh. Honestly, the home setting for this talk is so cool. The backdrop of natural greenery is beautiful. You guys are settled in comfortably and are in your element. It's probably not a bad idea to explore recording this series at your home itself! (I understand there's production quality etc. which is best achieved in a formal studio setting).
Naveen acting of Zavier is amazing. I think if The office was made again, his entire personality would be a character.
Love the home setting Kenny. It's very refreshing. Maybe consider this rather than the studio? I understand there are other factors that come into play but this hasn't turned out to be bad at all. :)
Studio is sound proof. My living room is this quiet cause of the lockdown.

Thank you for getting Naveen on the show. I remember you being asked about your favourite comic in a video and you took Naveen's name without any hesitation. He's one of my favourite writers. It was so adorable watching you two converse.
Thank you for starting this series. We do feel more intimate and connected to you. You always complain that there are not enough positive comments out here. I've loved this series since the first video, but today, I'm making an effort and letting you know that because we now know how much it means to you. This was a brilliant idea. Keep at it. See that's the point, it's all about priorities, young Taylor was like I wanna go be successful make music, she did that and then she realised what she missed on, so then for 4 years she focused on herself, her family... And now no one can balance it better than her. She won artist of the decade and is also in a very happy relationship from the past 3 years.

I have a couple of questions; hope you see them:
1. I can't afford therapy, are there any other feasible options?
2. I don't have any friends friends. I have a couple of friends, but I can live without them. I am mostly like a loner. Is it normal to not have friends? Can a person lead a normal life without having at least one (real) friend?
P.S: I'm jealous of the bond you have with abish, kanan, naveen etc.
3. I think I am too selfish to love anyone unconditionally. So, does that mean I am not fit for relationships or marriage?
4. When you realise that you are the toxic friend or partner, what's the next step you should take?
5. I tend to think too much of doing the right thing everytime but it comes to actually doing it, I'll be #$%^ this... and always fall back to my old patterns... how do I break that cycle?

First of all , I love you both together. You both just naturally click, it's so easy for someone watching to connect with the stuffs you guys talk. I have observed Kenny laughing genuinely when ever Naveen cracks some jokes..I Just love it. Its so cool because it's so relatable - two friends hanging out together.
Secondly, this video is awesome mainly because you guys answered the questions without sugarcoating it. Right from experiences of middle class people, spoiled rich brats, how some faces are slappable, unrealistic hero centric bollywood flims to how people like me watch stuffs and never put out a word whether the stuff is good/bad.( Relatable)
Everything in this video was fucking honest and hell-bent.
That's is why I am posting this comment ( my first one amongst all your videos I watched gazillion times whenever I am feeling lost or happy or sad or depressed or whatsoever....)
You guys rock...keep doing this Kenny...it's natural and so is you.

When I go to sleep, I listen to some podcast (because I have a trouble going to sleep immediately) but with your every episode it is becoming increasingly difficult to sleep because it is sooooo interesting that I find myself concentrating so much that my whole body is tensed.

That part when Naveen was pretending that Xavier is his cousin and not a character created by him reminded me of Skechy Behaviour's that sketch in which Kanan pretended that it's about the mental health issue when it's clearly a sketch🤣🤣🤣(maybe the situations aren't that same but somehow it's relatable)

I've watched Star Boys and all the episodes of Uncle Francis countless number of times, and what makes those video series so amazing is that the voiceovers for Robo Rakesh and Uncle Francis given by Naveen is very natural. I could see bits and pieces of Robo Rakesh and Uncle Francis in this podcast, and it looked so effortless and natural. You've got some amazing talent Naveen!
This episode is so amazing, I can't believe I watched it without forwarding. Everything you guys spoke about was so relatable and fun. I just didn't want it to end♥️
I'm catching up on this since a little while now. You are the most fascinating human being to me, in terms of your craft, artistry and body of work. You genuinely inspire me to do better at what I do. This podcast might have revealed how oblivious I may have been to my own feelings on existentialism, so thank you so much. Hey Kenny, I went through a tough time in my last year of college and a lot of emotions I went through became a hard habit to break once I was done. When I started working I would go through the same emotions. Everytime I was stressed at work, I'd watch your videos during my lunch breaks and they helped. But I also realised that the content available was very limited and I didn't enjoy any other comedian's content that much. So thank you for putting out these podcasts. I've always got something I can tune into even while I'm traveling. I love how you just talk and I don't mean to be creepy but it's like hanging out with you. So basically, thank you :D

Damn. That's why there's always time for Kenny.
1. Can I just appreciate that sample sets and averaging reactions were brought into the process of human emotion processing, wow. Again, talking about that estranging feeling one never wants to feel. Don't want to be alone in feeling something a certain way that no one has ever. We all want to feel emotions alike. How ordinary.
2. When something goes wrong with you, pave your way back to the point where you started losing it and then analyse. Backtracking. 100. Just got algorithms in this. Backtrack and traverse till desired solution is reached.
3. Completely hit with the revelation you made Kenny; when you simplify and explain things that happen in the simplest words and simplest form, people forget the effort you put into drawing that conclusion. Sometimes even when the fact is about yourself and you tell your friends, like, 'yes I've observed I do this when this happens'. That shit took some serious mental battling dude, but others who agree with it instantly might not see the work behind it. Yep. So what I conclude is don't simplify things for others to just to relate to them. Simplify for yourself. Understand, don't reveal. Let others do their bit of work.
4. That damn 'need to entertain'. And be engaging. It's exhausting to the limit that people just look at me when there's silence. Why do some people just feel that pressure to an extent where it translates into you doing a whole bunch of shit to just keep a connection going? It's a beautiful curse because I like being that person who is an entertainer and can always make people laugh. I just don't like when it becomes a liability.
Till what point do you think Kenny that a hobby can be pursued like a hobby and not a career choice? I understand all you've talked about first having a safe option and only pursuing what you love to do when you have the means to. But, what about the thought that maybe you like doing something as a hobby BECAUSE it is a hobby? Pressure changes likeliness. We've all seen that in various spheres of life. #SimpleKen

Having gone through it couple of times in the past 3 years, I have finally realized how not having a routine or not being busy can lead to overthinking, over-analyzing and penning down thoughts is very therapeutic and soothing.Thanks! Having watched almost every video that is on your channel, I always knew I liked your personality, but these "really recordings of you talking" have really helped me pinpoint and appreciate what I really like.
I've come to realize, that it's how you have always looked at situations from a different perspective. For example, in 6th grade, you'd be one of the very few individuals to have realized how useless the education system is, while the rest (including me) just went on with whatever we were told to do.
Even your perspective on how sad it was that in art school people could not digest "draw anything". I really find it interesting that you seem to have this presence of mind that helps to you look at situations in a different light - which I think also helps with your comedy, while you observe things around you.

Do you recall any incidents/interactions/learnings that made you look at things this differently? Because, our education system has conditioned us to look at things in a certain way and not really mull over the 'why' of it - how did you escape? :)

Kenny and Naveen...even I had a two rich best friends..wierdly enough,the class divide did not bother me much when we were kids...but now when I am nearly forty,I am finding it weird to keep in touch with them ... But I like how I was very content as a child amongst them..

Man, I love Naveen and I love Kenny.
I mean I'm enjoying the long recording anyways even I'm seeing it a year later, even if it's long/short,
but the topics, not only they're massively relatable, but also it is giving everyone here a chance to explore so many different viewpoints and finding them all correct or precise or 'oh why didn't I think of that?'
I just regret of watching it a year late but kind of justifying myself that I was indeed busy last year when everyone else was experiencing lockdown.
But I'm binge watching the whole thing and the immense thoughtfulness I'm deriving from it is driving me insane.
Just so I don't lose track of some amazing things you and Naveen and all the people have said here, I'm noting too many things down and now when I look at it I feel really good about the whole thing.

This podcast / long recording of you talking is so refreshing. All this while it appeared as if we needed comedians to cheer us up, which we do there is no denial in that, but this, people who lead simple lives like us, have experiences just like us, and the answers that are given are not overwhelming. I feel this is the best thing you have done so far Kenny. Loads of love. ❤️

Blown away by the authenticity and relatability of the episode...not once it felt like there was a camera it was as if I am sitting in a room with y'all and hearing y'all talk....is it because its shot in your house or any other reason...don't know...but just so smooth..and the level of comfort between you two..loved it! Great one!

Pre.S. I know there are very slim chances of you reading this because its a 3-month-old video but I just wanted to let you know the impact your videos hold.
People who shit on the production quality of this video are just shit themselves. Because honestly, this setting is more raw and homely than the one in the studio.
So I moved to Canada like six months ago and I'm in this period of going through major home-sickness; this video reminded me that what I also miss about home is the sound of birds chirping in the morning and that just brought a huge ass smile on my face.
I watch/ re-watch your videos every day because it reminds me of home and it takes my mind off of the homesickness anxiety that I have been battling.

Every time I start a new hobby, like reading something new, baking, drawing, I want to get the basics right so I look at other people’s stuff and do it the exact same way. Yeah, it’s copying but I learn a lot from copying. (I’ve been told I’m bad for that) the problem is that after I have learnt the basic and know my stuff, I still look at other’s things and try to replicate it. I think that it is my fear of finding out that I’m incompetent without guidance, have you ever felt anything similar?
This made my WFH situation interesting for at least 45min to 60mins. Thinking of making all of your podcast into a loop and watch it all over again. Reaaallly want more :/

I really like these podcasts!! And the emphasis Kenny puts on the need for financial stability over or before following one's passion is something I really respect.

I loved the point about the discussion about how fun is very subjective and personal. I've had numerous discussions with people about this, why someone who is not going out on weekends, not sleeping till late, eating at home, not drinking/smoking pot doesn't qualify as having fun.
