Do you know if the use of isopropanol is bad for getting the glued on back cover back on?
I can understand you skipped that part at the end ;) should be rather difficult to get it back together very well at this. I guess heating it again should help get the glue soft again?

It has no negative effect on the glue, you can also reactivate the glue with 3M Primer 94.
