It has taken me a long time to put this video together, for many reasons, but mostly because this event affected me (and many others in my community) very closely. Widespread flooding occurred across the NYC metro area. Sadly, in total, 91 people lost their lives during the storm across 9 states. In Union County alone, there were 5 reported fatalities due to flooding. In addition to flooding, 3 tornadoes occurred in southern New Jersey, with one being rated an EF-3 (first one in NJ of this strength in over 30 years).
The video clips you see are unedited, and recorded as the event was in progress. Obviously, I couldn’t record every possible weather alert, every changing weather condition, or other occurrences, but I managed to record what I thought were highlights of this event. Special thanks to friends/family who came out to give us a hand in the days and weeks after and thank you to all my subscribers for your ongoing support for my channel.
Incredible footage. I can only imagine how terrifying and surreal this must have been to experience. That is THE most people who have ever been under a Flash Flood Emergency at one time. Just crazy stuff. Thanks for sharing this, man!
Happy to see you back! I remember this…
This storm was so bad i remember it. This is what got me more interested in weather
Hey i have an alert radio (aj3450) vintage alert radio, it has a backuo of 9 volts and has AM FM and weatherband, it doesn’t have SAME technology but it does go off for alerts, it beeps for an alert until you press the blue weather button it goes off for anything so you cant program it, you can choose the alert tone to be a beep or buzzing (like an alarm clock)
This was a crazy event. My basement got 3 inches of water from Ida. My school EAs forced to close for the day.😊
Can you make more videos there really cool
Is he ok
Hoping your going to be posting this summer😊
I remember getting Flash Flood alerts NON-STOP on my phone that day… There was TONS of flooding in Bound Brook, Middlesex, Bridgewater, and Manville.
What happen to your Q and A video cause thats my favorite video also im very disappointed that you remove it
This whole event was the reason why I joined the EAS Community

Storm was a good one, I was in the tornado emergency and flash flood emergency 😭
Damn glad you’re doing fine.
@@2019Q7Quattro oh yeah i just ate dinner when theres an EF3 nearby
Yeah I was listening to a local radio station on May 7 and it cut out and I was shocked to hear the following words: “Tornado emergency for Union City, Michigan!” As a Michigander my jaw dropped to the floor. And moments later a friend of mine who lives in Sherwood sent me a screenshot of the wea of that Tornado emergency, I was also surprised that I got an eas alert for the Union City tornado even when I live 2.5 hours northwest of Union City.
That flood looks terrible.
The worst was over in Manville and Bound Brook…
