As a woman who married her high school sweetheart AND kept her own last name I can say that it takes a strong woman to stand her ground and keep her name.....but it takes an even stronger man to except that his true love will never take his name. If the love is real and true the couple will be happy and flourish no matter whose name is what. Just know that the world will always look at us women who refused to change our name a little funny. But the world doesn’t matter.

Apart from the Dr thing I think I would hate it if I'm called Mrs something when I'm outside even when I'm with my husband. The idea that I would be called Mrs blah which literally means I'm married to blah 'all the time' even when my marital status doesn't matter (Well it is hard to find any situation that it matters these days) is frustrating.

Surely, Ms or Mrs Sheppard would understand that delaying one's medical care is a huge problem. She would also have a higher understanding and appreciation for one's privacy and personal freedoms. She would also understand, and fully, that detectives that routinely harass and cause duress typically end up in jail.
