      My Covid 2021 Tacoma was totaled, 2024 corolla hybrid is financed at 6.9% at 425$ per month. Almost 500$ for a Corolla AND that’s excluding the big increase in insurance rates.
      Most people don’t realize how many overspend based on their income for these new cars. You’d think everyone is making 100k, false. These prices are not normal and simply a byproduct of overseas increasing their prices for goods and high interest rates in our country.

    Awesome video Matt, love the review as always, regarding the seats, I have read from owners that you have to adjust the air pressure and dampening according to your weight for the seats to be effective, could’ve been that the person who had it before you weighed more and the seats were adjusted to their settings. Regarding the fuel economy, there’s no escaping the fact that it is running 33inch tires with a lot of ground clearance, neither is it shaped for fuel economy so the odds are definitely not in it’s favor 😂. Love the Tacoma tho, it’s definitely my favorite in this segment.

      They are better. Main improvement is the low end torque is amazing. I live near the Wind River Range in Wyoming and I have a Turbo Ranger. Driving at elevation turbo is night and day better. Like I will never ever go back to a NA engine. EVER. Even if the fuel economy was exact same the performance is so much better.

    • @thatoneotherotherguy
      @thatoneotherotherguy 22 часа назад

      @@drn13355 some people have a habit of comparing the old V6 epa ratings to the new 4cyl anecdotes of reviewers. Which is not an apples to apples comparison. If you’re getting 18mpg with this new engine, you were getting 13mpg with however you drove the old one. These engines are 20-25% more efficient in the real world than the old ones when both are ran under the same conditions. And there’s no replacement for the gobs of low torque these new ones make.

    Hi Matt! I appreciate your video! I’ve had my TRD Pro for about a month now. I am loving it both on and off road! The seats, including the ISO Dynamic feature I feel really adds to the comfort and customization - agree, the bolstering alone is fantastic. Rear legroom is not a bother for me, as I rarely have rear passengers. Love the 14” screen, especially while using CarPlay - a game changer for navigating with Google Maps and OnXOffRoad! My one complaint too is the gas mileage. I am also just getting on average about 17.3 miles/gallon. Granted I have a Westcott Design’s additional 1” collar lift, running 35” RT tires, 17” wheels. I have been using the gas economy setting in “Normal”, and yet to try “Econo” mode to see if it improves. I would also like a larger gas tank for more range during wheeling excursions. But, overall am very pleased with this new trim!

Then I saw the price stickers......$70K+ for one of these.......No Toyota dealer in SO-CAL will sell these without at least $7, $8K markups. $10K markups is the norm. These are Way too much money, not worth it and they should have kept the V6. Does anyone else notice All the Toyota trucks that do this IForce Max hybrid set up are horrible on gas mileage. The new Tundra IForce Max is also horrible on gas mileage. A co worker bought the new Tundra with that Iforce hybrid set up and he said his V8 Tundra was better on the highway for mileage, he said the new IForce Max in Tundra only did two miles better in the city. He said wish he kept the V8. Looks like same goes for this new Tacoma, they should have just kept the V6, what is the point of a complex hybrid setup if the mileage is no better than the traditional engines. Very stupid.

    17.4 mpg from a hybrid 4 cylinder is really bad. Turbo engines drink gas under boost. The previous gen with the 2.7L four cylinder (2TR-FE) with 4WD got 19 city/22 hwy/20 combined.
    Also noticed previous gen Tacomas are holding their value, almost appreciating when people started having problems with the new gen Taco. This 4 cylinder model is not going to hold as well as the previous gen, but at the end of the day, a Toyota truck is still a Toyota truck.
