- This is a play-through using World Warrior M.Bison in an alternate Arcade version of Hyper Street Fighter 2. Read on below for more information...
This is an alternative version of the Arcade game Hyper Street Fighter 2 which allows the player to select the bosses (Balrog, Vega, Sagat & M.Bison) in 'NORMAL' mode, which is of course the World Warrior versions of them.
In the regular version of the game, the bosses cannot be selected in 'NORMAL' mode (they didn't exist in the game's data anyway).
The creator has made a very accurate version of Bison from The World Warrior with all his trademark hard-hitting basic moves with the 'punch-hit' sound effects. What is impressive is that WW Bison didn't exist in this game in the first place, so he literally had to create the data (such as hit properties, animation timings, etc.) from scratch using the game's existing resources. Anyway, here is the additional information on M.Bison based on my experience:
===== About HSF2++ WW Bison =====
---- Regarding his Head Stomp special move, HSF2++ WW Bison has 3 different outcomes, each outcome is designated to each strength Kick button. It is no longer random like it was in SF2:WW.
---- If his Head Stomp is blocked, the outcome of the [K] button you used will still happen. For example, if you did the Head Stomp using [MK] and the opponent blocks it, Bison will still go into his Dive Punch.
---- After his Head Stomp hits, you can actually control the direction of the outcome. For example, if you did the Head Stomp using [HK] and it hits, you can hold Right to have Bison flip down to the other side of the opponent to do the landing kick.
---- You can control the Jump Away movement after his [LK] Head Stomp. For example after it hits, the amount of time you hold Left or Right will determine how far Bison jumps and lands away. It's very similar to his human CE/HF/SSF2/SSF2T Head Stomp with the difference being that he doesn't do the back-flip when he jumps off the opponent's head.
---- His fist aura/flame (when he does his punches) does not flash. This is the case for regular non-WW Bison in this game anyway.
---- As mentioned earlier, when his Kick basics hit, it produces the Hard Punch hit sound effect. This is a trademark of WW Bison.
---- When he performs his Psycho Crusher, the sound effect for it comes out straight away, even before he goes into doing the Psycho Crusher.
---- He has the WW portrait images on the character select screen, versus screen, winning/losing screen and continue screen.
---- He has the WW Bison icon under his lifebar in-fight, but the background of the icon is transparent. The reason for this may be because the original WW boss icons appeared in SF2:WW with transparent backgrounds in the first place (the icons appear on the map after you have defeated all the regular fighters remember), which means that the icon data may have been carried over in it's original state.
---- He is missing the 1st Round cape intro which the CPU Bison has.
---- He has the HSF2-default alternative colour palette, used when mirror matches occur when the opponent Bison is of the default colour.
---- Unlike in the SF2++ , his special moves are charge moves and they need to be charged (unfortunately).
---- This is version (20170619) of it.

The word "HOLY SHIT" was censored
The Japanese version of the SF series had the shadaloo names swapped.
Balrog being M.Bison,
M.Bison being Vega,
and Vega being Balrog.
Sagat's name was not swapped.
That is the reason you see M.Bison's name being Vega.

The only thing left for HSF2 hacking may be Evil Ryu and Violent Ken? Or some changes from PS2 ver HSF2?
evilvg4 I think changing the few who have differences from the originals into their original versions, perhaps having the HSF2 tweaked versions available as a secret?

For me. Ten Akuma and for the sf2 dash and turbo characters having their original punch sounds. It's in the rom but they aren't used

I'm waiting this hack with lots of hype, it should be possible by modifying some character palettes, but it would take lots of time

Hyper SFII should've had edited and updated versions of all 4 Boss Challengers, all 4 New Challengers and even Gouki/Akuma as playable fighters in Normal-mode, Dash-mode and Turbo-mode.
Is this version available for Darksoft CPS2 Multi-Kit?
👋 Krizalid99v2. Is there any way you can link the CPS1 sound effects to the original champ( dash) and turbo characters. Like their lunch and kick sounds to match the cps1 versions? Please. This would be a cool feature since the ps2 version does this and the cps2 rom contains the cps1 sounds. Is this even possible?

@@andresobando2692 not the arcade. The ps2 version does. But listen to the punches for the cps1 characters it’s still the same as cps2 minus the special moves sounds
@@GamerGee nope. The arcade version does this, I use the arcade rom, the hit sounds are CPS1, but the swing sounds and electricity aren’t

I got this for the ps2 and I don’t like cause the difficultly is whack doesn’t work right. Very slow loading time. Also the cpu only uses ssf2t. You have to play with another person or use the training mode to select different versions of each fighter. 🤪

Hi, you need to select normal mode as fighting mode, then you can select the characters by pushing left or by going right to reach them
