    Wore Code of Silence for the first time this season and it is excellent stuff! Wore for 8 days in KS and never got cold and it is quiet as a mouse.

    Thanks for the great review. Couple of questions:
    1. As to sizing, I’m 5’-11’ and weight 185lbs, Levi’s jeans-34w x 32L. I’m thinking a size Large regular in both jacket and bib. What do you think?
    2. Also, the only negative I’ve ever heard is that the inside of the hood is a “little loud on the ears” when up-supposedly from the reviewers head rubbing the inside of the hood. Did you experience or notice anything like that ??
    Thanks a bunch,
    Rob

      I’d say your 100% spot on with your sizing.
      I wish I could tell you more about the hood, but I can’t. I can’t think of a time where I ever actually had it up during the season. I typically wear Code of Silence merino underneath, and use the hood on that instead of the big hood on the parka.

    Curious what you think about size/fit. I’m 6 foot and 175 lbs. I’m always in between medium and large clothing sizes. Any recommendations there?

    • @TheSeasonsMedia
      @TheSeasonsMedia  2 месяца назад +1

      @@TheVenariEffect I’d say it depends which layer it is. I’m 6’2, 205ish. All my layers I have in large tall, they’re perfect. My parka is also a large tall, but I wish it was an XL tall so I could layer more comfortably underneath it…

    Great breakdown on the gear. What size is your Zone 7 Versa Vest?

    How does the gear do at keeping rain out?

    • @TheSeasonsMedia
      @TheSeasonsMedia  3 месяца назад +1

      I haven't had it in the rain, but it doesn't have any barriers to keep the water out. I would say in a light drizzle I would still use it for sure or if the rain wasn't going to last long as well. If you knew it was going to rain pretty good for a long time, I would definitely wear a waterproof exterior layer.

    You mentioned your parka is a size large tall and it looks like a great fit on you. How tall are you?

    • @TheSeasonsMedia
      @TheSeasonsMedia  2 месяца назад

      I’m 6’2 about 200lbs. If you really want to use multiple layers under it, I would probably size up one size I think

    • @markgorczyca7946
      @markgorczyca7946 2 месяца назад

      Same here… 6’2, 200 to 205. I don’t really want to go crazy on the layers. In fact, looking for a jacket to help eliminate layering. Really liked how you showed how the LT worked for you wearing the hoodie, vest, and jacket. Could you personally also fit the bids under the jacket with that same set-up? Thank you for the great video review and fast response!!

      @TheSeasonsMedia  2 месяца назад +1

      @@markgorczyca7946 ehhhhh, it’d be tight. If I had to do it all over again, I’d go XLT. It would be far comfier. You’ll feel a little tight with that setup in just an LT.

    Are the bibs true to size ? I wear a 38” waist but don’t know if I should get xxl or xl

    • @TheSeasonsMedia
      @TheSeasonsMedia  9 месяцев назад

      They definitely run true to size! The think that I would recommend the most is considering your height and weather you need the tall or not.

    I’m in Kentucky and it doesn’t ever get what I would call tremendously cold here. Updating all of my camo this year and would love to hear your opinion or see a review on the versa vest that you have on. Planning on running verdigre hoody on cooler morning and going to pair with a vest. Either the versa or the Sitka fanatic. Opinions appreciated.

    • @TheSeasonsMedia
      @TheSeasonsMedia  Год назад +1

      I LOVE the Versa vest. I’m a big vest guy, and this one is super comfy and very warm for the core. Whether under my dialed in parka, over my verdigre hoodie, or over my Naponee hoodie. I’d say it’s on 90% of my sits.
      I do have a review coming on it once all of our fall content finishes dropping.

      @@TheSeasonsMedia if you don’t mind me asking, how much do you weigh? I’m trying to decide on a jacket and bib size. I’m 215 and right at 6’ tall with a 6’4” wing span. Jean size is 34x32. What do you think? Thanks!

    • @TheSeasonsMedia
      @TheSeasonsMedia  4 месяца назад

      I’m about 210 in this video. I’d say you’re for sure borderline for an XL or L bib. You can see how tight the bibs are on me, these are a Large Tall. Not a lot of extra space for me in a Large.
      The jacket fits pretty true to size, so I’d roll with whatever you usually would. I assume an XL at 6’ 215?
