The EXPERIENCE of God totally transforms oneself. IF we can open to Him, and do as Scripture says "TRY and see how Good is the Lord". I never thought even of that possibility, yet now I left my business and let God make me an Orthodox Priest. The journey is incredibly beautiful
I think have a feeling like Fr said. Recently i passed in Very difficult test for my country's navy but I don't feel happy at all, I really feel a yearning for Christ. I'm Very unexperienced and unmarried though
@@noeticspringproductions I do have a great parish priest, but in my country, there are Very few Orthodox churches sadly. I'll try my best to be stationed near a church
I felt called to be a monastic at a very young age but the Protestant world didn’t see any value spiritually in this way of living within the community. God called Samuel as a child. So it is grace.
Canonically, no man is supposed to be ordained a priest under 30 years old. This rule gets routinely ignored nowadays, but I would say (and I'm nobody but a normal Orthodox who knows a few priests) age and experience is an advantage, not a disadvantage.
There’s no one holy but God. Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever looked with lust? Ever used God’s name as a cuss word? Ever stolen anything? Coveted? Created a graven image? (Yes icons are graven). None are good not even one. So what must you do to enter the kingdom of heaven?
I go to Trinity Bible Church, according to 1st Peter 2:9, we're everyday people who are a royal priesthood of believers, God's own possession. I know Alice Cooper from Camelback Bible Church. Fist 👊 bump. School's out for summer . . .
A royal priesthood of believers doesn't mean don't have priests, I don't see that in the text of 1st Peter anywhere. Holy Trinity Cathedral on Maryland is a beautiful parish and the priest is very knowledgable and is a reflection of Christ's grace. You should visit with Alice Cooper
@@bobbiefluffy My pastor is a priest. I can do believer's baptism, but not marriages. He does that. 2nd Timothy 3:2 says a pastor should be a married family man, if he can't manage a family, he can't manage a church. Paul complained in 1st Thessalonians 4 about hypocritical liars who forbade people to marry. I think Roman Catholicism is 🐂💩. It's theater. It was for me that Jesus died, and that's enough for me.
@@patrickmccarthy7877 This is an interview with an Orthodox priest (a married one, with children at that), and you're welcome to have an opinion on Roman Catholics. Your pastor is not a priest because there is no sacrifice- and that's according to Trinity Bible Church- they affirm there is no grace in their purely symbolic eucharist. This video is about a calling to the priesthood, the priesthood affirmed in the letter to Timothy you referenced. There is a historical church to which Peter and Paul wrote to in the New Testament, the community of believers whose beliefs and practices are maintained and whose martyrdoms and godly lives are remembered: the Orthodox church.

Perhaps there is a spiritual father, a priest, that you can connect with to help guide you.

Beautiful.
Thank you.

I took the same test.
I got dolphin researcher 😂
Is 50 years old too old to consider the Priesthood ?
I do not know, but I recommend for you to go and talk to your priest and ask. If you really want to become a priest. God bless brother
No, it is not too late.
