You know I realised watching your video I've not seen the view of the tunnel looking backwards just as you exit, like if you can see it collapse behind you
oh God. fly through the wormhole for three whole minutes. I remember the times of Freelancer, it took 10 seconds. Why does it take so long to fly at cruising speed? I certainly like to watch the beautiful space. But if this game ever comes out, you will have to spend a huge amount of your life on it. maybe it was really worth making just a good sequel to Freelancer, just a good single player game.
You're only gonna "spend a huge amount of your life on it" (really? 3 minutes? thats a huge amount of your life?) if you are going back and forth between systems every ten minutes for some reason. I'm pretty sure all missions are gonna be kept within a single system, so really you'd only be spamming the wormhole for the sake of spamming the wormhole. The three minutes is a non-issue, and it allows for a pretty good transition between servers-- something far more important to the feel of the game. Additionally, it just looks badass and way cooler than a QT jump. Makes it feel like you're really flying through some interstellar-type hyperspace.
How many damn jump tunnels you gonna be back to back hopping anyway? Freelancer had you going everywhere and often. In a single player game. This one is supposed to be set up to make you want to be in a system for a while. Short of being a long hauler I'm thinking the 3 minutes of tunnel isn't that bug a deal compared to 2 minutes of tram ride if you forgot to not log out in a city
the effects was more amazing in this one, they improved it.
