- The man who is suspected of attempting to kill former US President Donald Trump has been named.
The FBI has identified the gunman as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks - he was shot and killed by the Secret Service.
Trump was shot at during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Trump, who emerged with a bloodied face, said he was shot in the ear.
The FBI said they are treating the incident as an assassination attempt.

With local police, state troopers and the secret service, why was no one posted on the roof of one of the few high buildings in the area ? Secret Service out maneuvered by a 20 year old.

What I want to know is how the state police, fbi, and secret service missed someone on the roof of a single level manufacturing plant just 130 - 300 yards from the stage even after being told that someone was on the roof?

Eyewitness told the police there was a man on the roof before the shooting but the police ignored them
The reporter lying down while people are calmly strolling about reminds me of a news clip from many years back of an American reporter sitting in a little boat rowing and talking about the flooded streets, and as she does this two people just casually walk by showing that the water was merely ankle deep.
They use his three names Thomas Matthew Crooks, like Lee Harvey Oswald and John Wilkes Booth.
