Gg man. I bought the rest of civ dlcs for aoe3 de few days ago they are on sale. I will try out Mexico soon. I tried Malta they are fun. Happy Holidays man and advance Happy New Year🎉
Thank you for always posting the build at the start, makes it easy to learn. Could you please answer some some noob questions I have? At 0:58 you have San Luis Potosi in the build, but you instead aged up with Sonora in this game. Which one is preferred, or is it context dependent? At 7:38 you said you did something "too early." What was it? Also, why was the Cathedral canceled and then restarted only after you clicked Age 3? Is there some timing there? Thanks
Because I have leather Soldier. Wood gather rate is higher than coin gather rate on the Hacienda so that's why using that gather wood and use leather soldier when I need to and then as soon as the map is out of wood then switch back to coin thats the idea. Too early was for clicking on the treasure, click earlier than killing the other gaurdian then your explorer will walk around the treasure which causes you to lose the treasure. Earlier you build cathedral the better it is best time is to build it as soon as you click the age up from age 2->3.
@@Jaegerchere Thank you for the reply, that makes sense and helped a lot. I didn't realize until now that Leather Soldier was in the deck XD. Seems like you didn't need to use it in the end.
I noticed they buffed this unit in some recent patch. It is now one of the top non-merc skirms in game (after two upgrades) at a low price point considering that food is almost free for Mexico. I'm not sure Mexico needs this buff.
Its the old conflict supremacy vs treaty balance I suppose. Some civs like italy that perform well in supre get nerfed even though they are already on the ground in treaty.
They have the same range as the US ranger? unit but have more attack than the Fr. Imperial Skirm. They cost significantly less coin than the American super skirm. Mexico does have trouble keeping gold income high but they can sell food for a good price with the Age 4 card.
Those Salteador have some juicy stats! They kinda melt everything with their high attack!?

Surely you will enjoy Mexicans. Happy new year buddy.
@@Jaegerchere thank you man :)
Ruyter vs salteador? Isnt light infantry the counter of range cav? Why he kept wasting them instead of countering you?
He was kinda panic clicking I guess

I see that Jag didn't use the key French Voltigeur card that gives +2 or +3 range to 22. Maybe it is not needed as much in treaty as supremacy?
Yes the buff on Mexicans in this patch was so unnecessary.
