I’m hoping you can describe how to remove the diffuser from a J7S pump. Since the diffuser is plastic I’m not sure how to remove as a socket doesn’t fit tightly on it. I’m worried it will snap off. I’ve called a few dealers and they indicate it’s not worth rebuilding; just buy a new pump.

Recently I got a Goulds water pump of 1 HP to irrigation for my garden in the front and backyard. I notice the motor turns on and off intermittently but comes out good pression of water. Is that correct? Thank you for your response.

It looks like the 1 horse power has the same input and output sizes 1-1/4 in and 1 inch out as the J5S 1/2 horse power version does. Is there much of a difference in water flow at the same pressure of 40/60 psi system? If they have the same input and output pipe size how could it have more flow??

Looking for a jet and venturi/diffuser (ANO17, and AD3731) for a Goulds J-5 1/2 hp pump. Was wondering if the jetting from a 1 hp J-10 pump, (installed in the J-5) would cause pumping problems. Still investigating where the injector would go, if it were set-up as a deep well. And if I have water at 20-25', would it be foolish to use it as a deep well, (double piped), or would it be easier on the pump motor, cause it wouldn't be working as hard?
