DANG, THAT WAS THE BEST MOVESET I HAVE SEEN! Seriously tho, you did a great job with Peppino, I probably heard of Pizza Tower due to the screaming meme, but this, THIS IS AMAZING, I am hyped to see what your lawl has next to offer, great job, GadZooks
Man, I gotta be honest, while I didn't dislike the moveset, I felt that there was a LOT more that could've been done. Movesets for playable characters in platformers, typically are a bit easier to translate to platform fighters, due to the genre's similarities. However, this similarity ALSO allows for very creative movesets that feel like playing the actual game, neither of which this set accomplishes. The playstyle was simplified to "character that does combos", which does describe Peppino, but the lack of Pizza Tower's gimmicks in it is disappointing. Why isn't the combo count inserted as a meter Peppino has that allows him to pull off even better combos? Why is the final smash a generic cutscene fs that has no origin, and not a translation of the actual chaotic end of Pizza Tower levels? The side special allowing him to have a cargo throw is a step in the right direction, but why isn't Peppino a full on grappler, as that's how he fights in the game? Also, the once-per-stock aspect of the down special and the lack of an A move to go with the screen KO are both things that I thought Lawler's Mod were above at this point. Sorry that this is so negative, I think that, outside the once-per-stock bullshit, the moveset was perfectly fine in terms of balance and animation. I just expected more, man.
This moves was pretty good imo. I haven’t seen a whole lot of Pizza Tower, but the translation of Peppino’s fast-paced gameplay into a rush down character was pretty well executed. I liked Neutral Specials functions as a zoning tool, Side Special as a grappler-movement option Up Special as a form of anti-air enemies, and Down Special as a taunt combined as a counter is easily my favorite move. Final Smash (at least from what little know about Pizza Tower) is a good original Final Smash, and I also really enjoyed the following segments like the Ko’s, taunts, and those victories are all really great! My only real gripes is there could be more of an emphasis on Grabs (or just making Side Special more important to the overall kit) for more accuracy to gameplay, and Down Specials strong variant needing to be earned, rather than a random once-per-stock move, making it a little situational. But that this was still a good set in my eyes, with good animation beside it. I’m hyped to see what you’ll cook up with the new stages and both types of assists. Good luck!
I can understand why it took so long because, that was Amazing! As someone who started pizza tower and never finished it, from what little I have played, I can see why you chose those moves, And it all works together quite well as well as being well animated and Fitting Peperino. I think this might be your best set yet, and believe me, every other set is closly behind. Good luck with stages and everything.
This moveset was alright. I agree with everyone else that Pizza Tower’s gimmicks should been been utilized in Peppino’s set, but I can see that you wanted to translate his playstyle: a fast, quick shot fighter. I did like how the taunts were used in the Down Special, Final Smash was a cool cinematic Smash, and the sprite animations were perfectly translated very well. Hopefully, Peppino will get patched to have a more solid moveset when the time for update patch comes. Keep making excellent content and I look forward to seeing the Stages, plants, assist trophies and the other future fighters soon. Ps, how many characters do you see yourself making/having?
Personally, I don't really like this moveset. This is rather barebone compared to what can be done with this character considering the quality of your previous, or heck, what *_has_*_ been done before._ As this feels like a simplified version of existing hypothetical Peppino moveset with his in-game normal state moveset, it doesn't really bring anything new to the table that I haven't seen from mods or other videos alike. Still, I like the effort that you put into this, the attempted playstyle segment, Peppino's home stage, and the utilization of his animations are all looking pretty slick. Hope the best for whatever that you do next.
I’ll be honest for this set was a little more underwhelming then good- A lot of the moves kinda just seem very bare bones which could be the case cause Pizza Tower is a platforming fighting game but- just feels like stuff is missing like the fast movement of his dash, but it feels weird having Peppino stationary like in usual lawler mod fashion- I feel like there should of been some sort of combo counter like in Pizza Tower as a lot of the game relies on the fast pace combos I honestly think he should of been more of a grappler as most of his moves from Pizza Tower are him grabbing the opponents, side B is a step in the right direction but doesn’t do anything cooler then that and could easily be implemented to a grab As much as I think the other moves are ok or bland I really like the Down B, a goofy fast pace counter seems cool and especially how fast it comes out, although the once per stock thing for the super version is not needed at all in my opinion and should huge damage and knock back if you can only use it scarcely Probably cause this character has a lotta hype surrounding him but it’s shame this set didn’t live up that much, it’s not bad but it can use some improvement to fully copy Pizza Tower Good attempt tho
Oh boy, okay... I gotta be honest with you here? This set was kinda disappointing from the standpoint of a Pizza Tower Fan. In terms of balance the Set itself is... fine, I suppose... aside form the one per stock thing in Down B. But... in terms of being a Peppino moveset? This... this a bit of a letdown, honestly. It really feels like there's a lot from the core game that's missing here. For one, where's Peppino's Dash? Not the Grab one, the signature bulldozer run? Y'know, the thing you use 99% of the game? It's one of Peppino's signature moves, and the fact it's missing here is just... jarring. Not the biggest fan of how down B works either? In a game where taunts and parries already exist, to me at least, it feels kind of out of place where it currently is. The fact the taunt's there is good, but where it is feels a bit misplaced. I think some creative liberties from a usual set were needed here. The cargo grab move is... fitting I suppose, and I suppose Up B is fine but... Man something just... doesn't feel right with this set. Pizza Tower's a heavily speed based game where you zoom through levels at top speeds and can overcome unique obstacles with quick thinking. And... I don't really get that feeling from this set. There's a lot of creative stuff you could've done with this dude. A variety of gimmicks in the games could've come into his standards, specials that could've intertwined with eachother (Especially with the dash) and that final Smash feels... It kinda feels anti-climatic? Like, yeah it's the right choice for a final smash for sure, but just it being a generic cutscene smash feels... kinda wrong? I think having it be more Fluidly animated would've sold it better, and with the actual music to really put it together at least. On the bright side, the actual taunts, victory, and stuff outside the specials does feel fitting. (Except for the entrance... not the biggest fan of what you chose)... but as an overall set, it feels like a bit of a step down from this lawl's usual quality. In general, with the way Peppino's set is made, Peppino doesn't really feel like a rushdown at the moment. He just feels like your standard all-rounder with one or two approach options. I can't really give a seal of approval for this, unfortunately. Hopefully you'll pick things back up with the next set.
Can you do a moveset for Kyle The Conjurer From Fanboy and Chum Chum

1:08 WOA *dead*
I can see why this moveset falls flat because it doesn't gimmicks to be included during this.
Plus does he need a "Combo counter" as a Down B?
