I have my poetry GCSE on Wednesday. Quickly memorising all the poems. I find London particularly hard to understand. If all goes well I am pushing a 7 and maybe 8
@@DystopiaJunkie Hello, over my gcse course ive found your videos very helpful. The only problem is I too have a GCSE tomorrow but have not done any revision. What is your advice if I go in and forget my quotes?
It's a tricky one... if you can't get a quotation spot on, get it as close as you can, even if that means paraphrasing or just quoting the one or two keywords that you want to analyse. Show off your textual knowledge (without just repeating the story / poem) and if you've got an extract or poem in front of you, use it!
I would hope so (if not higher!), but you must remember that it's the essay as a whole that is marked. So the structure, flow, and development of an argument is also taken into account!
Probably 'A Wife in London' or 'The Prelude'. If you watch the first seven minutes of my 'Comparing the Anthology Part 2' video, you'll see why I say that! 😊
Make sure you watch the second part of my analysis of this poem! ruclips.net/video/rCeyghzDlxQ/видео.html

Could the dashes also represent the end of a time period? As in the end of someones life?
What level is your interpretation? Enough to get a 8 would you say?
